Israel annexes largest piece of Palestinian territory in 30 years in the Jordan Valley - NGO

Israeli authorities have declared a 1,270-hectare area in the West Bank as state land, according to a declaration signed on June 25 and published on July 3. The Israeli NGO "Shalom Achshav", also known as Peace Now in English, drew attention to this document.

The annexed territory, which contains a record area, is located in the Jordan Valley. It was previously designated as a nature reserve and fire zone for military use.

This declared piece of state land is no longer considered the private property of Palestinians, thus stripping them of the opportunity to use it. Israel leases these lands, but only to Israeli citizens.

Since the beginning of 2024, Israel has recognized 23,700 hectares of state land in the West Bank, according to estimates from human rights activists.

The Israeli NGO 'Shalom Achshav' further emphasized that this year has seen a “peak in the scale of public land declarations”, while providing a detailed map illustrating the expansion of Israeli state lands.

Russia's сutting-edge Vityaz Air Defense System picks off 12 HIMARS missiles in one fell swoop

The top-notch Russian mobile air defense system known as the S-350 "Vityaz” is fully living up to its name, meaning ‘Brave warrior’(Russian version) in the special operation zone.

Twelve HIMARS MLRS missiles were simultaneously intercepted by the defensive system, the commander of Battlegroup Yug's anti-aircraft missile division told Sputnik.

"Not long ago we worked on a large pack of HIMARS MLRS, there were about 12-16 targets, this system fared successfully, none of the targets (MLRS missiles) reached their point, and accordingly the complex had no difficulty both in detecting and picking off the pack," the commander said.

Utilizing its state-of-the-art radar and communication technology, the missile system successfully acquired the target at a range of approximately 90 kilometers, said the serviceman. After maintaining a steady escort, the "Vityaz" ultimately hit the target at a distance of about 70 kilometers from the complex's location.

"The primary advantage of the missiles in this complex is their homing head, which makes maneuvering targets easy to hit. The missile will maneuver parallel to the target," the commander added.

The Vityaz missile system is specifically designed to intercept and neutralize airborne threats, offering a superior set of advantages compared to other systems:

🔸 Ability to navigate difficult terrain and withstand harsh weather conditions’
🔸 Quicker setup along firing positions;
🔸 Autonomous power supply;
The “Vityaz” has effectively obliterated multiple targets, including ATACMS missiles, enemy UAVs, and even aircraft-type drones.
