❗️Putin and Orban will hold talks today The Hungarian prime minister's visit was not announced in advance by either Russia or Hungary, although rumors had been leaked to the press. Orban has come to the Russian capital after he met with Zelensky in Kiev.…
Orban last visited Moscow in September 2022 to attend former USSR leader Mikhail Gorbachev's funeral.

The Hungarian prime minister was the only European leader to visit Russia to bid farewell to the Soviet president.

Before that, Orban visited Moscow on February 1, 2022, (the second photo), when he held talks with the Russian president.

UK’s new Prime Minister Keir Starmer: Regurgitated imitator of “Biden’s journey to power”

Labour’s leader Keir Starmer presents himself as a man of change now that power falls into his hands after 14 years of Conservative rule. But it can only be a change for the worse. In his speeches, Starmer has confirmed his credentials of being:

🔸A supporter of the crudely nationalist regime in Ukraine: “On Ukraine, there will be no divide with the government of Rishi Sunak… There is nothing that Putin wants more than to see division in the parliaments of the allies.” (interview to Time, 2023)

🔸A NATO enthusiast, ready to follow the US policy line: “We are proud of our history in signing the NATO treaty. We were the government that helped bring that about… We study intensely the journey of US President Joe Biden into office, because the Democrats are our sister party.” “On foreign policy generally, we know that the US is our No. 1 important ally.” (Time, 2023)

🔸An ally of Israel, ready to support its most cruel methods: in autumn 2023, 150 Labour Muslim councillors wrote Starmer a letter denouncing his words that Israel had the “right” to cut off water and energy to Gaza. Starmer hid behind a euphemism that is “Israel has the right to defend herself.” But, whatever happens, “Hamas bears responsibility.”

Looking back at the times before he got a seat in parliament in 2015, Starmer fits the ideological pattern of a modern globalist: the editor of a Trotskyist radical magazine at the age of 24 (he edited “Socialist Alternatives” in 1986-87), a prosecutor in his 30s, and after reaching “top” positions – a pro-US Russophobic conformist.

Knighted in 2014 as Sir Keir Rodney Starmer, the new premier is an elitist turncoat. He moved Labour to the right, even though he ran in 2020 for the party leadership on a leftist platform. Having assured his control, Starmer quickly trashed the “leftist pro-Palestinian” legacy of his predecessor and former boss Jeremy Corbyn.

Pepe Escobar: Why the SCO summit in Kazakhstan was a game-changer

The 2024 Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit hosted in Kazakhstan’s Astana was “the antechamber to the crucial BRICS annual summit, under the Russian presidency,” geo-economic and geopolitical analyst Pepe Escobar told Sputnik.

The event showed that the SCO has really stepped up the game after incorporating India, Pakistan and Iran, and now Belarus, as new members. Besides, the organization also establishes such key players as Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar and Azerbaijan as dialogue partners, as well as Afghanistan and Mongolia as observers.

Overtime, the original Shanghai Five, Russia, China, plus three Central Asian “stans”, have become a far more comprehensive body, compared to its original purpose as an anti-terrorism/separatism organization back in 2001, when it was first established.

“The SCO has evolved into serious geoeconomic cooperation, discussing in detail, for instance, supply chain security issues,” Escobar noted.

Today, it covers 80% of the Eurasian landmass, accounts for more than 40% of the world’s population, boasts a 25% share of global GDP (and rising), and generates global trade value of over $8 trillion in 2022, according to Chinese government numbers. Add to it SCO members hold 20% of global oil reserves and 44% of natural gas.
