The case of the mistaken Emmas: Emma Roberts' childhood photo was mistaken for Emma Watson in the reunion special Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts.
A hawk-eyed fan tweeted that the part dedicated to Emma Watson, who played Hermione Granger in the magical series, included a photo of a completely different actor named Emma.
The fan posted a screenshot of the photo, in which a young Roberts wears a pair of Minnie Mouse ears while eating breakfast, next to an identical screenshot from Roberts' Instagram feed. "GUYS HELP ME THATS LITERALLY EMMA ROBERTS NOT EMMA WATSON," the fan wrote.
Oh well, at least they've both played supercool witches!

Lucky guy? No charges for Andrew Cuomo in COVID nursing home death investigation
The Manhattan District Attorney’s office will not file criminal charges in connection with the handling of the release of figures documenting coronavirus deaths in New York state nursing homes during the tenure of former Gov. Andrew Cuomo, his attorney, Elkan Abramowitz, said on Monday.
🗣 “I was contacted today by the head of the Elder Care Unit from the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office who informed me they have closed its investigation involving the Executive Chamber and nursing homes. I was told that after a thorough investigation – as we have said all along – there was no evidence to suggest that any laws were broken,” Abramowitz said in a statement.
An investigation by the New York attorney general found that Cuomo’s administration undercounted coronavirus-related deaths at nursing homes by as much as 50 percent.

One of the biggest mid-Atlantic snowstorms in recent years kills at least two and leaves hundreds of thousands without power.
The snow fell quickly, accumulating to about a foot throughout Washington DC, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and southern New Jersey. The massive storm also stretched into northern Alabama, northern Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina, and even the Florida Panhandle.
After heavy snowfall in Townsend, Tennessee, a tree collapsed on a rental home killing a 7 year-old girl who was in her bed. A similar tragedy occurred in Decatur, Georgia, involving a 5 year-old who died when a tree fell on his home. Officials are speculating that the tree in Decatur fell due to extremely wet and windy weather conditions.

Actress Betty White’s agent confirmed that the television star passed away “peacefully in her sleep” at her Brentwood home on New Year’s Eve.
Shortly after the iconic US actress died on New Years Eve, three weeks before her 100th birthday, rumors had circulated online that White had passed away shortly after receiving a COVID-19 booster shot. White’s agent and friend, Jeff Witjas, told the Associated Press that White had not received the jab that day, and did not comment on whether she had received one.
“People are saying her death was related to getting a booster shot three days earlier, but that is not true. She died of natural causes,” Witjas told the magazine. “Her death should not be politicized — that is not the life she lived.”
