Kamala Harris to uphold Russophobic US dogma as world seeks multipolar order – analyst

Former US Defense Department senior security analyst Michael Maloof joined Sputnik’s Fault Lines program Wednesday to contemplate the possible foreign policy of a Kamala Harris administration as much of the world seeks development independent of the United States and the Western liberal world order.

“Frankly we don’t know what she’s going to do on the international scene. There's nothing that she has said or done that gives us any indication of what her stance is on anything,” claimed the security analyst.

Nevertheless, Maloof suggested Harris would be constrained by the anti-Russia policy of her predecessor, Joe Biden.

“I’m afraid that if they continue the policy toward Russia, as they are right now, that when [Anatoly] Antonov, the current Russian ambassador, leaves, that he will not be replaced. I think [Russia will] downgrade relations,” said Maloof. “We’re making it much more difficult to renew any relations.”

“We’re almost on the verge of a war because of a hoax,” he added, referring to the conspiracy theory that Trump colluded with Russia during the 2016 US presidential election. “That’s basically what this amounts to and our relationships in the world are now complicated as a consequence.”

“We are seeing a shift now. Because of this multipolar order concept we are seeing more of a shift by countries who have been subject historically to colonialization,” Maloof said. “They are rebelling. They are rebelling and one of the few countries that has not been involved in colonialization was Russia and China.”

“That's why you're seeing the Global South … gravitating toward this Eurasian concept, toward the BRICS.”

Possible Ukrainian trace in assassination plot against Georgia’s ruling party founder

Georgia’s State Security Service is investigating evidence linking Ukraine to the alleged assassination plans of Bidzina Ivanishvili, the founder of the ruling Georgian Dream party.

Several Georgian mercenaries, including Gela Kakhabrishvili, Lasha Chigladze, and Vazha Tsetsadze, who fought in Ukraine, were summoned for questioning and informed about the relevant articles of Georgia's Criminal Code related to terrorism.

“A terrorist act is being planned in Georgia. This act is supposed to help bring down the government,” said Mikhail Ramiashvili, the lawyer of one of the suspects in the case. The Georgian investigators said the plot was “masterminded and financed by former Georgian officials now living in Ukraine.

Possible reasons suggesting the perpetrators of the Ivanishvili assassination attempt aimed to influence the country's political direction:

▪️Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakly Kobakhidze said that he saw “the same handwriting” of “globalist forces” behind the recent failed assassinations of Donald Trump and Robert Fico, prime minister of Slovakia.

▪️Both Kobakhidze and Ivanishvili said recently that they would not allow the “Ukrainization” of Georgia. Ivanishvili explained in detail: “The party of global war” wanted to make Georgia share the fate of Ukraine by bringing to power “United National Movement” – the party of former president Saakashvili.

▪️Saakashvili secretly returned to Georgia from Ukraine in 2021. He was put in jail for his abuse of presidential powers in 2003-2012. Since then, he is presented as a martyr by the West and the opposition. Some want him to oust Ivanishvili.

▪️Kobakhidze also quoted “an EU commissioner,” who threatened him with the fate of Slovak Fiсo, who got five shots, if Georgia adopts its variant of originally American legislation against foreign agents’ influence in domestic politics. Georgia’s law ‘On Transparency of Foreign Influence' was adopted in June.

Boeing wraps up 737 MAX plea deal

US aviation giant Boeing has finally pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit fraud and agreed to pay at least $243.6 million after violating a 2021 agreement with the US Department of Justice, according to a court document cited by Reuters.

The company allowed potentially risky operations at its plants and failed to ensure the accuracy and completeness of its records for major airplanes, the Justice Department stated, laying out reasons why it believes the aircraft maker violated the 2021 deferred prosecution agreement.

In May, the Justice Department said Boeing had violated its obligations under an agreement that protected the company from criminal prosecution for misrepresenting a key software feature related to fatal 737 MAX crashes in 2018 and 2019 that left 346 people dead.

Russian air defense destroyed four drones over the Kursk Region, three over the Belgorod Region and four over Crimea and the Black Sea overnight - Russian Defense Ministry
