📹Residents of Cuba examined the Russian patrol ship Neustrashimy (lit. - Intrepid), which is located in the port of Havana, as part of the visit of the Russian warships of the Baltic Fleet.

A detachment of ships of the Baltic Fleet, which includes the training ship Smolny with 245 cadets, the patrol ship Neustrashimy and the tanker Yelnya, will stay in Cuba until July 30.

Russian Rear Admiral Oleg Gurinov earlier said that the main purpose of the Russian ships' visit to Cuba was to confirm cooperation in the naval sphere between the sailors of both countries, which is possible due to the special relations that characterize Cuba and Russia.

🇰🇵North Korean leader Kim Jong-un personally supervised the rescue operation and evacuation of residents in areas affected by a heavy downpour, KCNA writes.

A record heavy downpour took place in the north of the country. The water level of the Amnok River significantly exceeded the dangerous mark, causing more than five thousand people to be isolated in areas at risk of flooding.

Israeli FM compared Erdogan to Hussein over mention of Turkish troop deployment to Israel

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz compared Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein, who was executed in 2006, because of the former stated the possible deployment of troops to Israel.

"Erdogan follows in the footsteps of Saddam Hussein and threatens to attack Israel. Just let him remember what happened there and how it ended," Katz wrote on X.

Earlier, Erdogan warned that Turkiye could send troops into Israel due to Tel Aviv's policy towards Palestine. 

"Just as we entered [Nagorno] Karabakh and Libya, we will do the same with them," he previously said in his speech at a meeting held at his party's headquarters in Rize province.

In January 2020, Turkiye deployed troops to Libya in order to support the Libyan Government of National Accord. In the autumn of the same year, Ankara supported Azerbaijan in its conflict with Armenia over Nagorno-Karabakh. 

Erdogan supports the settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict by creating an independent Palestinian state, with East Jerusalem as its capital within the 1967 borders. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rejects the idea of a two-state solution.
