What Sukhoi Design Bureau aircraft does Russian army use?

Monday marks the 85th anniversary of the Sukhoi Design Bureau, with its engineers creating nearly two dozen of the USSR and Russia’s best-known reconnaissance, ground attack, interceptor, air superiority, and multirole fighter aircraft.

🔺Su-25: This one-seater jet has a 975 km per hour top speed, a 750 km combat range, and 11 hard points for up to 4.4 tons of munitions, from rockets and air-to-air and air-to-surface missiles, to FAB (high explosive), KAB (guided), BetAB (concrete-breaking), and ZAB (incendiary) series bombs.

🔺Su-27: Introduced in 1985, it was created as a response to what was then the latest generation of US fourth gen jet fighter technology, and ended up as the granddaddy of some of the most modern Russian, Indian and Chinese warplanes still in service today. This fighter jet is now used by Russian forces for patrolling the airspace.  

🔺Su-34: This is an all-weather fighter-bomber of a new generation of frontline supersonic strike aircraft. The jet is used in the ongoing Russia-NATO proxy war in Ukraine, flying tens of thousands of sorties with their complementary Kh-65 cruise missiles, the super-heavy KAB, and upgraded FAB guided and glide bombs.

🔺Su-35: Also known as Flanker-E, it is a multipurpose super maneuverable fighter with a controlled thrust vector of the 4++ generation. Developed in 2008, Su-35 is one of the main fighters of the Russian Air Forces, part of the central combat unit of the special operation. The Su-35C modification is capable of carrying an ultra-long-range R-37M air-to-air missile with a range of more than 300 km.

🔺Su-57: Introduced in 2020, the Su-57 became Russia’s first multirole fifth-gen stealth jet fighter. Capable of accelerating to speeds up to 2,400 km/h, these heavy jets are fitted with Russia’s latest avionics, radar, targeting, and electronic countermeasures systems.

In Russia, a train traveling from Kazan to Adler collided with a Kamaz truck that drove onto the railway tracks.

According to the latest data, 20 people were hospitalized, and about 140 were injured, with the vast majority suffering abrasions and bruises.

A criminal case has been opened under the article on violation of traffic safety rules. 

The Russian Railways company says that the driver of the Kamaz truck grossly violated traffic rules by crossing the tracks despite alerts from the alarm system.

Revolutionary Communists of America host major rally in Philadelphia, USA

On Sunday, the newly-formed Revolutionary Communists of America (RCA) held their inaugural Congress in Philadelphia, officially launching their American chapter as part of the global Revolutionary Communists coordination, a movement active in numerous countries, according to Business Today.

After the Congress, around 500 RCA members marched through the streets of Philadelphia, waving red flags emblazoned with the hammer and sickle. The demonstration attracted significant attention on social media, drawing criticism from notable figures like Elon Musk, CEO of X and Tesla. Musk, who Forbes estimates has a net worth of $238 billion, shared a video of the protest with an exclamation mark, highlighting his disapproval.
