🚫 The US State Dep't has not confirmed a report that its embassy personnel are to quit Ukraine

The statement comes shortly after a Fox News reporter on Saturday tweeted that the State Department had "[ordered] families of US embassy personnel in Ukraine to begin evacuating the country as soon as Monday."

Late Friday, the US said it had delivered some 200,000 pounds of "lethal aid”, including ammunition. The US, alongside its European allies, has claimed that Russia has pre-positioned over 100,000 troops on its border with Ukraine, alongside significant artillery and tank deployments.

As tensions in Ukraine continue to simmer, the Kremlin has rolled out security proposals demanding that NATO agrees to not expand eastwards or deploy offensive weapons in countries bordering Russia.
