🗣 “President Obama was out there last week waving his finger at Black men. When are Liz Cheney and Hillary Clinton going to wave their finger at white women? When are Bill Clinton and Joe Biden going to wave their finger at white men?” asked radio host Charlamagne tha God in an interview with Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

Italy imposes strict restrictions on arms exports to Israel – prime minister
Italy has imposed the strictest restrictions among its allies on arms exports to Israel, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said.
Italy's position of a complete block on all new export licenses is much stricter than that of France, Germany and the United Kingdom, the prime minister added.
Meloni noted that Italy is assessing licenses issued before October 7 and taking action if there is a risk that military "material could be used in the current crisis."

Italy has imposed the strictest restrictions among its allies on arms exports to Israel, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said.
"After the start of the Israeli operation in the Gaza Strip, the government immediately suspended the issuance of all new licenses for the export of military materials to Israel. Thus, all contracts signed after October 7 were not executed. All export licenses issued before October 7 were analyzed on a case-by-case basis," Meloni said in the Italian parliament.

Censorship will remain the lasting legacy of Biden’s failed presidency
Analyst Steve Poikonen joined the final edition of Sputnik’s The Critical Hour program Tuesday to discuss online censorship in the West, noting that growing awareness of the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza has required new efforts on the part of elites to maintain ideological hegemony on the matter.
Writer Caitlin Johnstone has documented the arbitrary efforts of instagram and other platforms to censor material by enforcing vague guidelines and opaque content moderation. “This is indistinct from government censorship,” she observed, noting that tech giants operate under implicit and explicit guidance from Congress.
Growing US government involvement in questions of online content moderation has continued apace, most recently culminating in the establishment of sanctions on Russian media that have eliminated the positions of this author and other US-based employees of Sputnik. President Biden’s hostility toward alternative media signals the Western ruling class’s growing fear – of its mounting failures, of competing narratives, and of its own people.

“Over the last year plus of this livestreamed genocide and the expansion of the greater Israel project, people have become far more acquainted with what Zionism as a political force really stands for,” said Poikonen.
“So it has become incumbent on narrative management to get a hold of the conversation because it was starting to slip away from them. And how couldn’t it?... What better way to get a hold of [the narrative] than to eliminate the speech that connects you to those atrocities? And that's exactly what Meta* and Facebook* have done.”

US hinges military aid to Israel on eased Gaza plight after deploying THAAD
Hot on the heels of deploying Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) battery components to Israel, Washington suddenly decided the moment was ripe to take the moral high ground.
The US has warned Israel in a letter, jointly written by Antony Blinken and Lloyd Austin, that any further military aid may be at risk if the humanitarian situation in devastated Gaza is not improved.
Addressed to Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant and Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, it sets out measures that the US expects Israel to take, including:
🔸 Allowing a minimum of 350 trucks carrying humanitarian aid to enter Gaza per day.
🔸 Opening a new fifth crossing.
🔸 Implementing humanitarian pauses across Gaza to enable humanitarian activities.
🔸 Guaranteeing security for humanitarian convoys and movements.
🔸 Ensuring that the Jordanian Armed Forces corridors operate at full capacity.
🔸 Opening a new channel between the US and Israeli governments to “raise and discuss civilian harm incidents”.
Unless such measures are taken, Israel risks violating US laws governing foreign military assistance, per the letter.
Coincidentally, a day after the letter was sent, Israel’s Coordination of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) agency tweeted photos of aid entering Gaza.
The US has spent a record of at least $17.9 billion on military aid to Israel since the war in Gaza began, with another $4.86 billion had been funneled into stepped-up US military operations in the region.
