Trump vs Harris: Which candidate is financial speculators Soros' darling?
George and Alex Soros were quick to endorse Kamala Harris once the vice president announced her bid in July. Tesla CEO Elon Musk mockingly thanked the Soroses at the time "for not keeping everyone in suspense about who the next puppet would be."
Soros appears to have played in cahoots with corrupt politicians, donating tens of millions to their causes and getting much more in return, according to the analyst.
Remarkably, Soros' endorsement of Harris coincided with that of Hillary and Bill Clinton, whose foundation seems to be the largest unprosecuted fraud ever, according to the Wall Street analyst. It also turned out in July that Alex is engaged with Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton's longtime confidant.

George and Alex Soros were quick to endorse Kamala Harris once the vice president announced her bid in July. Tesla CEO Elon Musk mockingly thanked the Soroses at the time "for not keeping everyone in suspense about who the next puppet would be."
"George Soros, you know, I have a hard time being objective about the guy," Wall Street analyst Charles Ortel told Sputnik. "He has, as you rightly point out, these various charities, and they're massive, and they exclusively donate to, quote, 'progressive' causes. Now, Soros has historically—remember, he broke the Bank of England in [1992]—he's in the business of pushing for and against different governments around the world. And when you do that, you can make a lot of money as a speculator on the side."
Soros appears to have played in cahoots with corrupt politicians, donating tens of millions to their causes and getting much more in return, according to the analyst.
"The cost of getting on the right side of government is probably $10 million to $100 million per government," Ortel said. "So there are a lot of nefarious, I would argue, speculators. Soros is chief among them. And my review of some of the Open Society filings, which I have spent a fair amount of time in that field trying to understand which charities do good work and which don't, they're deeply suspicious."
"We don't need a new set of laws and regulations. The ones that are on the books are not enforced. They go after the small people, not the big people. And the crooks get it. So they use charities to route sums to crooked politicians," Ortel said.

💢🔪Terrorism and poison charges raised new questions about Southport stabbing attack in UK
Axel Rudakubana, an 18-year-old man of Rwandan descent accused of killing three girls in Southport on July 29, has now been charged with making the deadly poison ricin and possessing an al-Qaeda* training manual for committing acts of terrorism.
The PDF file is noscriptd ‘Military studies in the jihad against the tyrants, the Al Qaeda training manual’.
The terrorism charges came a full three months after the knife attack at a Taylor Swift-themed dance party in the seaside town near Liverpool, where three children were stabbed to death and eight more were injured.
The attack triggered riots in Southport and in several other British towns, leading to arrests of hundreds protesting against uncontrolled immigration and Islamism. The Guardian newspaper claimed that the unrest was "provoked by rumors containing false information about the alleged identity of the attacker" after authorities initially withheld the suspect’s name.
Despite the new charges against Rudakubana, the Counter Terrorism Policing agency is still not treating the Southport attack as a "terrorist incident". Merseyside Police Chief Constable Serena Kennedy told reporters on Tuesday that "the matter for which Axel Rudakubana has been charged under the Terrorism Act does not require motive to be established," adding that "new charges may lead to speculation."
Conservative Party leaders have questioned whether the Labour government knew about the Islamist terror link to the Southport stabbing and if there was a "cover-up".

Tory leadership hopeful Robert Jenrick urged Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer – a former head of the Crown Prosecution Service to "explain to the country what he knew about the Southport attack and when he learned it."
"The legal process needs to be respected but I am seriously concerned that facts may have been withheld from the public here," Jenrick said.

Peter the Great would be proud: Russian Navy marks its anniversary
October 30 is the professional holiday of Russia’s Surface Fleet sailors.
The Russian Navy’s mission is multifaceted and varied – from defending the nation’s coastlines and assisting ground and air-based military operations, to deploying forces thousands of kilometers from Russia’s home shores, and maintaining the deadly ‘Boomer’ submarines which are part of Russia’s nuclear triad strategic deterrent.
The Navy is divided into four major fleets: the Northern, Baltic, Black and Pacific, plus the Caspian Flotilla of small missile-launching ships, and a permanent Mediterranean Task Force.
Owing its modern seafaring capabilities and equipment largely to Sergei Gorshkov – a World War II commander-turned-admiral who commanded the Soviet Navy from 1956 to 1985, Russia’s modern Navy boasts over 370 ships – ranging from small patrol boats to the Admiral Kuznetsov aircraft carrier, missile cruisers, nuclear-powered and nuclear-armed ballistic missile submarines, anti-submarine vessels, landing craft and naval aviation.
Russia’s Navy owes its origins to an October 30, 1696 decree by the Boyar Duma at the behest of Tsar Peter the Great to build a fleet of seafaring ships. By the end of Peter I’s reign, the fledgling Russian fleet had amassed some 49 large wooden ships and up to 800 smaller vessels.
The Navy has come a long way from its origins over three centuries ago, coming to rank among the world’s top three maritime powers from the 18th century onward, despite Russia’s traditionally accepted status as a land-based power commanding the Eurasian heartland, and regaining this status with a vengeance after the Second World War following a brief lull from the late 19th to mid-20th centuries.

🇱🇧 Israeli airstrikes have completely destroyed a three-story residential building in Sarafand, southern Lebanon, causing significant damage to nearby structures, a Sputnik correspondent reports.
Israeli jets targeted the residential area on Wednesday morning. Rescue teams attempted to extract survivors, but most of the women and children inside perished, with their bodies taken to a nearby hospital.
Mayor Ali Khalifeh stated that the building was home to three families, all related: a father, his two sons, and their families. All 21 family members were present during the strike, resulting in 15 fatalities, primarily women and children. Khalifeh condemned the attack, emphasizing that Sarafand had been considered safe until recently and that the village now hosts around 2,000 families.

Market forecasts indicate Trump as front-runner, while polls show neck-and-neck race with Harris
US financial exchange and prediction market Kalshi and Polymarket, the largest global prediction operator, put Donald Trump's chances of winning next week's election at 62% and 67%, respectively.
Trump is leading Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, who has a 33% to 38% chance of winning office – around 20 points behind the Republican.
But the prediction markets are at odds with opinion polls which claim that Trump and Harris are neck-a-neck. A New York Times/Siena College poll published earlier this week indicated that they would win 48% of the popular vote each.
The FiveThirtyEight website says its simulations of the 2024 presidential election showed that Trump wins 52 times out of 100. Harris wins 48 times out of 100.
News website Axios tried to explain the gap between the market forecasts and pollsters. Brad Allen, senior analyst at Eilers & Krejcik Gaming, suggested that "markets can be moved by big money, and that big money is not necessarily making bets based on who they think is actually going to win the election."
But large overseas bookmakers – not easily influenced by US interests – show similar results, Axios noted. BetMGM Canada Sportsbook puts the odds of a Trump win at -225 – meaning you would have to stake $225 to win $100, equating to a 69% chance of a Trump victory. But "Odds aren't oracular – even a 99% chance is not a sure thing," Axios insists.
Conservative US commentators distrust polls, suggesting that they over-sample Democrat supporters to inflate support for Harris. Despite raising and spending more than twice as much campaign money than Trump, her chances of winning are slim, they believe.

“I think that within a couple of months [after the decision to reduce aid] there will be a ‘domino effect’ - the US will stop, then Germany will stop, then, for example, France, Denmark, and others will say that they can not do it anymore and that it is necessary to start negotiations. Thus, the conclusion will be to force Zelensky to conduct meaningful negotiations with Russia,” he told Sputnik.

Since The Washington Post announced on Friday that it would not endorse a presidential candidate, the newspaper has lost at least 250,000 subscribers, about 10% of its digital audience, according to a recent report from the newspaper.
Washington Post owner Jeff Bezos said that presidential endorsements in the newspaper can give the impression of bias, but they have little effect on how readers vote. He regretted making this decision known so close to the election, when emotions were running high.
According to reports, the editorial team of the newspaper had prepared an endorsement for Kamala Harris.
Despite its denials, however, the paper's impartiality is questionable. The lack of a formal endorsement of the Democratic presidential candidate does not prevent compelling headlines from continuing to promote Kamala.
