Big name stars and influencers have come out of the woodwork to endorse Democratic candidate and apparent deep state favorite Kamala Harris’s presidential bid.
Hollywood for Harris
Arnold Schwarzenegger – former Mr. Universe, ex-Republican governor of California
“A candidate who think Americans who disagree with him are the bigger enemies than China, Russia, or North Korea – that won’t solve our problems. It will just be four more years of bullsh*t with no results that makes us angrier and angrier, more divided, and more hateful. We need to close the door on this chapter of American history, and I know that former President Trump won’t do that,” Schwarzenegger said in an endorsement tweet on October 30.
George Clooney – two-time Academy Award winner, operator of globalist foundation disguised as charity
“Remember, you can vote any way you want. And no one will ever know. What happens in the booth stays in the booth – vote Harris-Walz,” Clooney said in a pro-Harris campaign ad that began airing October 30.
Beyonce – most-awarded and nominated artist in Grammy history
“We are at the precipice of an incredible shift, at the brink of history. I’m not here as a celebrity, I’m not here as a politician, I’m here as a mother who cares deeply about the world my children and all our children live, a world where we have freedom to control our bodies, a world where we are not divided – our past, our present, our future merge to meet us here,” she said in a speech at a pro-Harris rally in Houston on October 25.
Oprah Winfrey – former daytime talk show host, wealthiest black female businesswoman in America
“It seems to me that, at school and at home, somebody did a beautiful job of showing this young girl how to challenge the people at the top and empower the people at the bottom. They showed her how to look at the world and see not just what is, but what can be. And soon and very soon, we’re going to be teaching our daughters and sons about how this child of an Indian mother and a Jamaican father…grew up to become the 47th president of the United States,” Winfrey said during Democratic National Convention in Chicago, August 21.
Bruce Springsteen, singer-songwriter with a 21-album career spanning six decades
“Donald Trump is the most dangerous candidate for president in my lifetime. His disdain for the sanctity of our Constitution, the sanctity of democracy, the sanctity of the rule of law and the sanctity of the peaceful transfer of power should disqualify him from the office of president, ever again,” Springsteen said in an endorsement video released October 3.

Republican candidate Donald Trump has gotten his share of celebrity endorsements as well.
All aboard the Trump train
Dana White – Ultimate Fighting Championship CEO
“I know he’s a great leader. This is not my opinion, not my hope. He’s proven he can build the strongest economy in American history. He’s proven he can secure our borders and keep our nation safe. He’s proven to be the strong leader allies and adversaries alike must respect. He’s proven he loves this country so much, he’s literally put his life on the line for it. What has the other candidate proven? She can get [her] party’s nomination without even facing voters,” White said on a pro-Trump rally in Madison Square Garden, New York City, October 27.
Mel Gibson – two-time Academy Award winner, star of hit movies including Braveheart and the Lethal Weapon and Mad Max series.
“I don’t think it’s going to surprise anyone who I vote fore…I know what it’ll be like if we let her [Harris] in. And it ain’t good. Miserable track record. No policies to speak of. She’s got the IQ of a fence post,” he said in an interview with TMZ published October 24.
Hulk Hogan – most popular wrestler of the 1980s, one of the most widely recognized wrestling star in the world
“When I look out and I see all the real Americans, I think about how Donald Trump, his family was compromised. When I look out there and I see Donald Trump, I think about how his business was compromised. But what happened last week, when they took a shot at my hero, and they tried to kill the next president of the US, enough was enough. [Rips shirt] “And I said, let Trumpamania run wild, brother. Let Trumpamania rule. Let Trumpamania make America great again!” Hogan said at the Republican National Convention on July 18, several days after the attempt on Trump’s life in Pennsylvania.
Buzz Aldrin – astronaut, second human being to walk on the Moon
“Over the years, I have seen our government’s approach to space wax and wane, a fluctuating dynamic that has disappointed me from time to time. But under the first Trump administration, I was impressed to see how human space exploration was elevated, made a policy of high importance again. Under President Trump’s first term, America saw a revitalized interest in space. His administration reignited national efforts to get back to the Moon, and push on to Mars – programs that continue today.” – endorsement message published October 30.
Dr. Phil McGraw – television personality and clinical psychologist
“I’m not here just to stand up for Donald J. Trump. Lord knows, he doesn’t need me to stand up for him. He’s tough as an old army boot. He’s got lots of enemies, different groups that are scared, and between them, they have impeached him, indicted him, raided him, railroaded him, shot him and sued him. And where is he? He is still standing,” McGraw said on a pro-Trump rally in Madison Square Garden Rally in New York City October 27.

Beyond cultural heritage: How IDF shelling imperils Lebanon’s ancient city of Baalbek?
Israeli artillery shells are landing near the northeastern Lebanese city of Baalbek, endangering the Baalbek Citadel, one of the most significant archaeological sites in the Arab world. According to UNESCO, Baalbek is “one of the finest examples of Imperial Roman architecture at its apogee”, spotlighting its citadel, castle ruins, and the sanctuaries dedicated to Heliopolitan Jupiter and Bacchus from the Hellenistic period.
On October 29, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued immediate evacuation orders for several areas of Baalbek, including those with Roman-era heritage. UNESCO took to social media to urge all parties to respect and protect world heritage sites, asserting that they “should never be targeted.”
However, the bombing of Baalbek threatens to harm not only its cultural heritage, but much more:
◾️ Baalbek is the key city for eastern part of Lebanon, with some 80,000 people living in its area.
◾️ Located in the fertile Bekaa Valley, Baalbek plays a crucial role in transporting agricultural products to various regions within Lebanon and to other countries.
◾️ The Bekaa Valley is the heart of Lebanon’s winemaking and the primary region for vineyards. Lebanese wines, highly valued in the Middle East, are both sold domestically and exported, with Baalbek serving as a key transit point.
◾️ While recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Baalbek also serves as a major tourist center for Lebanon.
◾️ Additionally, Baalbek is considered one of Hezbollah's political strongholds. The IDF claims that Hezbollah’s fuel depots are located in the suburbs of Baalbek, which are reportedly the targets of the shelling.
Local authorities, including members of the Lebanese Civil Defense in Baalbek, have urged residents to evacuate the city due to the escalating threats, as reported by Lebanese media. The situation has already resulted in at least 23 casualties.

Splurge on defense spending, Ukraine aid: digesting the UK Labor gov’t’s new budget
UK Chancellor Rachel Reeves has delivered the new Labor government’s first Budget. What is in it?
🔸 There will be an increase of around £2.9 billion ($3.76 billion) next year in the Ministry of Defense’s budget.
🔸 The UK will give Ukraine a new £2.26 billion ($2.9 billion) military loan, Reeves announced earlier in October. The loan is to be repaid using profits on illegally frozen Russian sovereign assets.
Boosted military spending was slammed as “an insult to all those struggling during a cost-of-living crisis and diverts funds from underfunded public services” by Peace Pledge Union campaigner Geoff Tibbs.
What are the consequences?
🔸 The budget will hit taxpayers with £40bn ( ≈ $51.8bn) in tax rises. The rise in taxes is the largest since former PM John Major's government in 1993.
◾️ Taxes on capital gains and inheritance are to be raised.
◾️ Budget policies will increase UK borrowing by £19.6bn ($25bn) this year and by an average of £32.3bn ($41bn) over the next five years.
The UK budget deficit was £49 billion ($63.5 billion) in 2023/24, equivalent to 1.8% of GDP. Average interest rates on the stock of mortgages are expected to rise from around 3.7% in 2024 to a peak of 4.5% in 2027.
Both Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves have blamed the preceding Conservative government for all of the country’s economic woes. Last year Reeves told the Financial Times: “Taxes are at a 70-year high — I don’t have plans to be a big tax-raising chancellor.”

Boosted military spending was slammed as “an insult to all those struggling during a cost-of-living crisis and diverts funds from underfunded public services” by Peace Pledge Union campaigner Geoff Tibbs.
“This government is addicted to war and yet again money is earmarked for weapons to continue wars in Ukraine and the Middle East,” said founding member of the Stop the War Coalition Lindsey German.
What are the consequences?
“This budget delivers one of the largest increases in spending, tax and borrowing of any single fiscal event in history,” said Office for Budget Responsibility chair Richard Hughes.

What could be the game-changing ‘October surprise’ in the run-up to the 2024 election?
As October draws to a close, one might wonder whether the much-talked-about ‘October surprise’, a game-changer in the run-up to Election Day, really did occur.
Sputnik has picked up on key events which could crucially influence the 2024 race:
🔸 Iran's strike on Israel on October 1, followed by Tel Aviv's retaliatory raid on October 26, has once again underscored the waning influence of the United States in the Middle East. Furthermore, it highlights the Biden-Harris administration's inability to iron out the escalating tensions in the region.
🔸 Sex trafficking charges against Sean 'Diddy' Combs were leveraged by Republicans to bash the Harris campaign and Democrats over their longstanding association with the rapper, who apparently belongs in the same company with convicted sex offenders, Jeffrey Epstein and Harvey Weinstein.
🔸 Elon Musk's active participation in Trump's presidential bid was called "the October surprise" by the Washington Post. Musk contributed almost $75 million to a Trump-supporting PAC in the last three months.
🔸 Liberal mega-donors poured millions into Kamala Harris’ campaign. The sitting vice president ended up raising a total of $1 billion in less than three months, something that has never been done by any other presidential contender.
🔸 Kamala Harris faced plagiarism accusations regarding her 2009 book, "Smart on Crime." In contrast, Joe Biden was forced to withdraw from the 1988 presidential race due to similar allegations.
🔸 FEMA's inadequate response to the crises caused by Hurricanes Helena and Milton, which ravaged the southeastern battleground states, sparked a public outcry against the Biden-Harris administration.

October surprise 2024? Political scandals just entertainment, but no game changers, says ex-Pentagon analyst
Kwiatkowski assumed that neither the missile exchange between Iran and Israel nor the Ukraine crisis or other overseas events have had an impact on Americans, who "don't pay attention to foreign policy…, don't really care… [and] not impacted by it personally."
By contrast, rapper Sean 'Diddy' Combs's sex trafficking case has made some splash, since "the P. Diddy thing is quite interesting, it will implicate many people," the former Pentagon analyst noted.
The case, however, has fallen short of influencing the ongoing election cycle and Democrats with links to Diddy because most Americans "are cynical about the high moral character of our leadership," according to Kwiatkowski.
Likewise, US media speculations about Donald Trump's alleged "praise of Hitler" and accusations that he "groped" a woman in 1993 have left his supporters unimpressed.
"I think it's very hard to move the meter in American politics through things like scandals. We find scandals in the mode of entertainment. So political scandals, they're entertaining. They don't really change our mind," Kwiatkowski concluded.

"There was expectation of the so-called October surprise and there could have been several of them," former Pentagon analyst and US Air Force Lt. Col. Karen Kwiatkowski told Sputnik, adding that despite a lot happening during this month, none of the events could be called a game changer.
"It's another Epstein Island situation, except probably far worse because it implicates many people in Hollywood and politicians who we do know the names of," Kwiatkowski specified.
"In [the] worst case scenario, they just say, well, you know, what do you expect? All the politicians are like this. We like Trump for this other reason, and we're going to ignore all this bad stuff," the pundit noted.
"I think it's very hard to move the meter in American politics through things like scandals. We find scandals in the mode of entertainment. So political scandals, they're entertaining. They don't really change our mind," Kwiatkowski concluded.

Russian forces carrying out 'cascade' offensive strategy on the battlefield, experts reveal
"This strategy now enables Russia's military to impose tactical isolation on the enemy, which can escalate into a full-scale encirclement. The choices left for the enemy are stark: surrender or die,” Matviychuk explained.
Retired Russian Army colonel and seasoned military analyst Viktor Litovkin suggested that the term “cascade offensive” may denote multiple echelons simultaneously attacking and securing positions, with each wave moving in succession.
Litovkin also identified significant challenges faced by Ukrainian forces, including lack of ammunition, manpower, and air and artillery support, as well as the inability to reinforce their ranks.
He pointed out that Russian forces maintain a relentless barrage on supply routes, complicating the situation further. Additionally, he warned that many Ukrainian soldiers “lack the desire to fight and are insufficiently trained.”

Russian military forces have effectively employed a strategy known as an "integrated systemic offensive," as explained by military expert and retired colonel, Anatoly Matviychuk, in an interview with Sputnik. This approach, referred to by journalists as a “cascade” offensive, integrates "time and location-coordinated fire strikes with ground assaults targeting the enemy's rear and flanks,” he noted.
