Biden Admin in next 2 months to request more resources for Ukraine from Congress - Sullivan

The Biden administration will ask Congress for additional resources for Ukraine during the next two months, US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said on Wednesday.

"Therefore it only stands to reason that in the next two months, the administration will signal to Congress that we would like to see additional funds for Ukraine for 2025," Sullivan told reporters.

Western countries have provided hundreds of billions of dollars’ worth of aid to Ukraine since the start of Russia's special military operation in February 2022. Russia has consistently warned against the West's continued arms deliveries to Ukraine, saying that they only prolong the conflict.

“And it’s not just him. You heard this from former staffers. You’ve heard that from the former chief of staff, John Kelly, and others,” Jean-Pierre said, effectively suggesting that insults become acceptable if repeated by enough people.

“The President is going to always feel obligated to be honest with the American people. What he says still stands,” the press secretary claimed.

“What we want to be also very clear about is the importance of listening to the will of the American people,” Jean-Pierre added, seemingly contradicting her earlier statement about Biden not issuing an apology.

Brazil's Solicitor General labels explosions as an 'attack' on the Supreme Court

The plenary session of Brazil's Chamber of Deputies was suspended in response to the explosions. The Military Police are currently investigating the causes of the incident.

Authorities in Brasília have confirmed that a body was discovered in front of the Supreme Court building following the explosions.

Suicide bomber behind explosions near Brazil's Supreme Court and Congress – reports

The explosions near Brazil's Supreme Court and Congress earlier today were carried out by a suicide bomber, according to the G1 news website.

The attacker reportedly detonated explosives in his car before attempting to target the Supreme Court building. He threw additional explosive devices toward the building and triggered another device on himself, the report said, citing Celina Leão, Vice Governor of the Brazilian Federal District.

The suspect is said to have been a candidate for the Libertarian Party in Brazil's 2020 municipal elections but was not elected.
