US Indo-Pacific Command: Conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East are 'eating into' US air defenses

Supplying both conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East is putting a strain on the US air defense inventory, says Adm. Samuel J. Paparo, commander of US Indo-Pacific Command.

"Now with some of the Patriots that have been employed, some of the air-to-air missiles that have been employed, it's eating into stocks and to say otherwise would be dishonest," Paparo said.

Key statements by Dmitry Kiselev, Director-General of of Rossiya Segodnya, Sputnik's parent media group, at the roundtable discussion on BRICS potential:

💬Kazan summit resulted from two parallel processes that started in the early 21st century, when Vladimir Putin became president of Russia and Russia started to build a multipolar world.

💬What brings BRICS nations together? Our commitment to peace, to traditional values and agreement to promote harmony in the international relations.

💬Russia enables the Global South to develop viable economies, while the US asks other countries to pay for the security umbrellas it provides, Russia never asked for that.

💬Peace always comes on the heels of war, now we have to build a new kind of future and Russia has been fighting on the frontline of this battle for new world order.

Berlin turning into a ghetto – Russian FM spokeswoman on German authorities' warning for specific groups not to visit certain areas of the city

Commenting on the Berlin police chief's warning to Jews and homosexuals not to visit several neighborhoods in the German capital where "elements of Arab origin sympathize with terrorism" are located, Maria Zakharova stressed:

"So, the police are well aware that there are terrorist elements and sympathizers in Berlin, and they inhabit entire districts. But instead of covering those areas, the police warn two groups of the population – based on ethnicity and erotic preferences – not to visit these dangerous parts of the city."

"Should Jews in Berlin wear identification badges again? Or should people of other nationalities do so? It’s turning into a ghetto now," she said.

No matter how many different trials Europe has gone through, it seems that the craving for ghettos always remains, Zakharova concluded.
