❗️Oreshnik’s 4,000°C warhead: Can anything survive its devastating burn?
At 4,000°C—nearly four times the heat of molten steel—Russia's Oreshnik warhead can melt metal, vaporize concrete, and destroy armored vehicles instantly. What makes this temperature so powerful, and how does it compare to other extreme heat sources?
Comparisons to other heat sources:
🔺Sun's surface: The Sun's surface temperature is approximately 5,500°C, hotter than the 4,000°C of the Oreshnik warhead.
🔺Jet engines: Modern jet engine combustion chambers operate between 1,500°C and 2,000°C. At 4,000°C, materials would degrade rapidly, far beyond the heat produced by jet engines.
🔺Plasma: Plasma, found in the core of stars or during fusion reactions, exceeds 10,000°C. While 4,000°C is much lower, it still represents an extreme temperature capable of significant destruction.
Effects on materials:
🔻Metals:
▫️Steel: Steel melts at 1,500°C and would vaporize at 4,000°C, including carbon steel used in construction and military vehicles.
▫️Aluminum: With a melting point of 660°C, aluminum would easily melt and vaporize at 4,000°C.
▫️Tungsten: Known for its high melting point of 3,422°C, tungsten would also vaporize at 4,000°C.
🔸Concrete fractures and degrades at 300°C. At 4,000°C, it would vaporize, with steel reinforcements melting and likely causing structural collapse.
🔸Vehicles made from steel and aluminum would be destroyed at 4,000°C, with tires combusting and engine components, electrical systems, and bodywork melting. Even armored military vehicles would suffer severe melting and structural collapse.
🔻Buildings:
▫️Steel structures: Steel melts at 1,500°C and would lose integrity at 4,000°C, causing beams and frameworks to melt and collapse.
▫️Concrete buildings: Concrete would vaporize at 4,000°C, causing steel reinforcements to melt. Glass would also melt, and electrical/plumbing systems would be destroyed.

America dotted with more graves of US mercenaries killed in Ukraine conflict zone
US mercenaries fighting on the side of the Kiev regime continue to die in Ukraine as Russia rapidly advances along the front lines of the special military operation. Sputnik recently discovered several new graves of American hirelings buried in cemeteries across the United States.
▪️ The grave of 34-year-old David Lee Cote, who had fought in Iraq prior to the Ukraine conflict, was spotted at a cemetery in Michigan. Media reports said that he was killed as a result of a Russian drone strike in October 2023;
▪️ Another tomb is in a graveyard in Chicago, Illinois, where Ukrainian-born Myhailo Yavorskyi is buried. The IT worker-turned-mercenary fought into the ultra-nationalist Right Sector* military ethos and was confirmed dead in May 2023;
▪️ Edward Wilton, 22, had reportedly been in Ukraine for almost a year “defending the land of his ancestors” at the time of his death that was confirmed in April 2023;
▪️ Another grave of a US mercenary, who was killed in action in Ukraine’s failed counteroffensive and identified as Timothy Griffin, was found at a cemetery in New York State. Judging by an innoscription on his tombstone, the 40-year-old died in 2022.
Russian Federal Security Service Director Alexander Bortnikov earlier said that there are 18,000 mercenaries from 85 countries, including Georgia, Poland and France, fighting for the Zelensky regime as part of Ukraine’s Foreign Legion, which he added “shows the scale of the Western-established system of supplying militants to the front line.”
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, for his part, stressed that the presence of foreign mercenaries in the ranks of Ukrainian forces will not change the course of the Russian special military operation, but could prolong the conflict and “cause more suffering to the Ukrainian people.”

‘Comparable to nuclear explosion’: Putin on Oreshnik’s powerful impact

“According to military and technical experts, if a massive, coordinated launch of these missiles were to be conducted —specifically, multiple Oreshnik missiles or clusters in a single strike— this could produce a blast comparable to that of a nuclear explosion, though the Oreshnik is not considered a weapon of mass destruction,” Vladimir Putin said.

"The temperature of the warhead’s destructive components reaches 4,000 degrees Celsius. If I’m not mistaken, the surface of the Sun is around 5,500-6,000 degrees. So, anything caught in the blast’s epicenter disintegrates into fragments, into elementary particles, essentially, turning into dust," Russia's President said.

Russia's advanced Sokol radar designed to detect mini drones
At the 4th Congress of Young Scientists held in the Sirius Federal Territory from November 27-29, the new-generation Sokol (lit. Falcon) radar system was presented. Developed by JSC "Strela" in collaboration with young scientists from Tula, the radar is designed to detect mini and micro UAVs. Vladimir Grebenkin, an engineer at JSC "Strela," tells Sputnik that the system can detect small drones up to 5 kilometers away with an accuracy of around ten meters.
Using digital phased array antenna technology, the radar ensures dome protection for the object it is installed on, with azimuth scanning and multi-channel elevation angle viewing capabilities.

From CSTO to Peninsula Shield: Meet some global military blocs
Kazakhstan hosted a summit of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) on November 28, touted by Kazakh President Kasim-Jomart Tokayev as a military partnership to protect the territorial integrity of its members, which apart from Kazakhstan, include Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan.
Apart from the CSTO, a whole array of other global military and political blocs exist, so let’s look closely at them.
▪️Five Eyes: intelligence-sharing bloc of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and the US, est. in 1943.
▪️Inter-American Treaty of Reciprocal Assistance, est. in 1947: a regional security pact of 18 countries, including the US, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, Paraguay, Venezuela, Colombia, Chile and Uruguay.
▪️NATO, or North Atlantic Treaty Organization, of 32 countries, such as the US, the UK, France, Canada, Germany, Italy, Spain, Norway, Denmark, plus recently-joined Finland and Sweden, est. in 1949.
▪️FPDA, or Five Power Defense Arrangements of Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore and the UK, est. in 1971.
▪️RSS, or Regional Security System, of Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, est. in 1982.
▪️Peninsula Shield Force, or Peninsula Shield: the military arm of the Gulf Cooperation Council of Bahrein, Qatar, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, and Saudi Arabia, est. in 1984.
▪️Arab League’s Joint Defense Council of 22 nations, among them Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Saudi Arabia, est. in 1990.
▪️NORDEFCO, or Nordic Defense Cooperation of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden, est. in 2009.
▪️Lublin Triangle: military alliance of Poland, Lithuania and Ukraine, est. in 2020.
▪️AUKUS: security bloc of Australia, the UK and the US, est. in 2021.
