❗️ The Russian Foreign Ministry has released its response to the US on the security proposals in Eastern Europe.

In the document, the Ministry specifically stressed the unacceptability of demands to withdraw Russian troops from the country’s certain areas.

The Ministry pointed out that Russia is concerned over “the growing military activity of the United States and NATO directly near Russian borders, while our ‘red lines’ and core security interests, as well as Russia’s sovereign right to protect them, are still being ignored”.

❗️ US President Joe Biden has claimed that "there is every indication" that Russia is "prepared" to invade Ukraine, insisting that he has information about a "false flag" operation on the part of Moscow.

The president went on to allege that the threat of a Russian invasion of Ukraine is "very high", and said that he had no plans to call his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.

⚡️🇷🇺🇺🇸The Russian Foreign Ministry has made a statement after sending the US its observations on the American response to Russian proposals on security guarantees:

• The US "twisted" Russia's proposals on security guarantees by ignoring the fact that the proposals were a package deal and choosing items that benefit them the most;

• Moscow’s response stressed the unacceptability of demands to withdraw troops from certain areas in Russia;

• For de-escalation of tensions in the Ukraine affair, Kyiv needs to comply with the Minsk agreements, while NATO members should halt deliveries of weapons to Ukraine and withdraw those already supplied, as well as recall all Western advisers and instructors from Ukraine and refrain from conducting joint military exercise with Ukraine;

• Russia insists on the withdrawal of all US forces and weapons from Central and Eastern Europe and the Baltics;

• Russia expects specific proposals from the US and NATO on the content and forms of the alliance's commitment not to expand to the East;

• Arms control issues cannot be considered separately from other topics of security guarantees.
