Trump grounds AP: news agency banned over Gulf of Mexico naming dispute

The Associated Press is barred from the Oval Office and Air Force One indefinitely, Washington said, adding that the news agency’s stance on how to refer to the Gulf of Mexico was to blame for the exclusion.

The Trump administration earlier decided to rename the body of water the “Gulf of America,” with the change already taking effect in government agencies. The AP has refused to abide by the name change.
