⏰💥 Clock is ticking: Ukraine faces GRIM future without US weapons – media

Amid Trump's threats to pull the plug on Ukraine, the world media started speculating on what will happen to the Kiev regime if POTUS delivers on the promise.

🔶 The Wall Street Journal: "Without US military aid, Ukraine has enough weapons to keep fighting at its current pace until the summer," the outlet cited Western officials as saying.

🔶 Al Jazeera: "Ukraine won’t survive long without US military aid as Europe can't possibly replace it," the news outlet reports, citing former Ukrainian deputy head of the General Staff. "We will last six months," he specified.

🔶 Reuters: The news agency quoted Poland's Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski as suggesting that Ukraine can keep on fighting Russia only a year without US assistance.

Experts have meanwhile warned that Ukraine’s most serious challenge could soon be the lack of:

▪️the US-made air defenses, such as the Patriot systems

▪️the Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS)

▪️light armored vehicles and 155mm shells

💬 "While Europe could match the US in spending", Europe is unlikely to match "the full breadth of weapons systems needed and, in certain critical categories such as air defense interceptors, there will quickly be a quantity problem," Oscar Jonsson, an academic at the Swedish Defense University said.

💬 "Ukraine would face a grim task if it chose to fight on without Trump’s backing," US expert Max Boot asserted.

💬 "Current US supplies if used sparingly, could not last beyond mid-summer or autumn," Nikolai Mitrokhin, a researcher at the University of Bremen, Germany claimed.
