What are Merz’s obstacles on the way to LIMITLESS defense spending?

Germany’s Chancellor-to-be Friedrich Merz recently tried to break away from the tradition of fiscal discipline by announcing a plan to detach defense expenditure from borrowing limits and set up a $543 billion infrastructure fund.

What Merz has to do to win support for his plan:

🏛 Secure a two-thirds majority

He needs to gain support beyond his CDU/CSU bloc and the Social Democratic Party, which would have to include the Green Party. While the Greens support fiscal easing, they demand stronger climate protection measures, making things more complicated.

🪧 Manage internal CDU/CSU resistance

Some conservatives are wary of abandoning fiscal discipline, especially since they campaigned on maintaining Germany’s debt brake.

📑 Push the legislation through the old parliament

Passing the new fiscal law before the new Bundestag convenes on March 21 would avoid blocking from minority votes, but it also may be criticized by the opposition.

Tucker Carlson slams neocon defense of minorities discrimination in Syria

In September 2014, the US illegally intervened in Syria under the pretext of fighting ISIS. The first American ground troops started to enter Syria in 2015.

Are French officers Freemasons?

Most French officers are forced to support President Macron because they are Freemasons, Francois Mauld d’Aymee, a French officer-turned Donbass People’s Militia volunteer, told Sputnik.

"French officers are generally negative about Macron. But they have to support him, because they are Freemasons, and this war benefits them. In the French army, it is impossible to get even the rank of major or lieutenant colonel if a person is not accepted as a Freemason. And this is not a joke. This is a mandatory step in his career - otherwise he will be sent into retirement."

Trump lambasts Canada for CHEATING and hurting American farmers

The president accused the US’ neighbor of maintaining "sky-high" tariffs on various American goods, "particularly in protected sectors like dairy," including up to 243% on milk, 298% on butter, and 245% on cheese.

"These sky-high tariffs are part of Canada’s unfair, long-standing policy to shield domestic producers from foreign competition, especially in agriculture," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

⚔️USAID contractors demand nearly $700M by Monday

US foreign aid groups are suing the Trump administration for over $671 million for their past work with USAID and the State Department, Reuters reports. They claim $420 million in outstanding invoices and $250 million in drawdown requests.

After taking office, Donald Trump paused foreign aid disbursements for 90 days. A federal judge has now ordered some payments to be made by Monday. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court rejected a White House request to keep aid frozen, but allowed ongoing disputes to proceed in lower courts, according to CNN.
