🇺🇸🤝🇷🇺 Eight US Secretaries of State, one Lavrov: A legacy of diplomacy
Russia’s diplomacy chief, Sergey Lavrov has had to deal with eight US secretaries of state, impressing almost all of them:
🔸Lavrov and Colin Powell (2004-2005)
Lavrov’s encounters with US foreign policy began with George W. Bush's trusted lieutenant, Colin Powell. Lavrov and Powell discussed global security, focusing on NATO's eastward expansion and the US invasion of Iraq, which Russia opposed.
🔸Lavrov and Condoleezza Rice (2005-2009)
Working with Condoleezza Rice, Lavrov continued to address Russia's concerns, frequently clashing with his counterpart over NATO expansion. Nevertheless, Rice respected Lavrov's negotiation skills, and Russia's top diplomat always conducted himself as a true gentleman.
🔸Lavrov and Hillary Clinton (2009-2013)
Hillary Clinton's tenure as secretary of state was marked by an attempt to revive Russia-US relations, highlighted by the famous "reset button" episode. However, the US's involvement in ousting Muamar Gaddafi was a move that Russia strongly criticized.
🔸Lavrov and John Kerry (2013-2017)
Lavrov and Kerry often had prolonged talks and exchanged jokes. Despite tensions between Russia and the US, they frequently cooperated on Syria, with Kerry even calling Lavrov "my friend Sergey Lavrov."
🔸Lavrov and Rex Tillerson (2017-2018)
Lavrov worked with Tillerson when Russia-US relations were "at a low point," worsened by Tillerson's lack of foreign policy experience. Lavrov recalled Tillerson's desire to quickly resolve Middle East conflicts and his talk of a "deal of the century" for the region.
🔸Lavrov and Make Pompeo (2018-2021)
Lavrov and Pompeo often clashed over the Ukrainian issue; nevertheless, the US secretary of state valued Russia's diplomatic efforts in the Middle East and on the Korean Peninsula. "We should have a better relationship," he said in 2019.
🔸Lavrov and Antony Blinken (2021-2025)
Lavrov and Blinken rarely communicated directly. However, despite disagreements on various issues, Blinken attended Lavrov's speech at the G20, despite open opposition from the US.
🔸Lavrov and Marco Rubio (2025- )
Lavrov met with the newly appointed secretary of state this February in Saudi Arabia, where they discussed a possible settlement of the Ukrainian crisis. It remains to be seen how effective their partnership will be.

European powers RELUCTANT to send troops to Ukraine
While UK and France publicly declare their intent to deploy military units to Ukraine, the rest of the EU states may have other ideas, Bloomberg reports.
Most of the countries involved in talks to send up to 30,000 troops to Ukraine offered “military assets or troops to backfill other parts of NATO that are willing to provide soldiers" instead.
❌ Meanwhile, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has openly opposed the “boots on the ground” scheme for Ukraine.
Although UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, one of the main proponents of this “coalition of the willing”, now touts an idea to focus on air and naval support for Ukraine instead of ground troop deployment, it is unclear how feasible this scheme would be without US assistance.
Earlier, about 30 countries reportedly offered to contribute troops, aircraft, ships, and funding to Starmer’s coalition.
🇷🇺 Meanwhile, Russia warned that international peacekeepers can only be deployed in the Ukrainian conflict zone with the consent of all the parties involved.
Russia also rejects attempts to insert NATO countries’ troops into any peacekeeper scheme, given the military bloc’s role in starting the Ukrainian conflict in the first place.

Joe Biden is planning to make a return to the political arena, NBC News reports. According to sources close to him, the former US president intends to fundraise and campaign to regain the Democrats' positions. His wife is also ready to support his efforts.
Within the Democratic Party, many see Biden as a symbol of the past rather than the future. One of his supporters even questioned, "Who’s going to want Joe Biden back in the game?"

Azov* gaining power is ‘symptom of collapse’ of remains of Ukraine’s civil society
The destruction of the gas pumping station in Sudzha by Ukraine makes it look like Volodymyr Zelensky has “limited control” over the Ukrainian military and “limited to no control” over the neo-Nazi “Azov forces,” USAF Ret. Lt. Col. Karen Kwiatkowski tells Sputnik.
Due to their belief in their superiority over the rest of the Ukrainian troops, Azov militants “believe that the war was theirs, always, not the politicians, and certainly not Zelensky’s as a propped-up politician who actually ran on enforcing the Minsk II treaty, a ‘peace’ platform.”
Thus, there appears to be a danger of Azov exercising the “real political power” in Ukraine.
“The anger of the Azov will not be quenched, even after Zelensky is gone and a new president elected."

“I think Azov, like many effective, violent and nationalistic military groups, disrespect politician on principles, as compromisers and double dealers. Traditionally, these are the 'generals' that the politicians fear, not the other way around,” says Kwiatkowski, a former US Department of Defense analyst.
Thus, there appears to be a danger of Azov exercising the “real political power” in Ukraine.
“It is a symptom of imminent collapse of what is left of Ukraine’s civil and political society, and it underlines the real problem that [US President Donald] Trump will have to face and has not yet — and that is how to help Ukraine recover a liberal and rights-based society at the conclusion of hostilities,” Kwiatkowski says.
“The anger of the Azov will not be quenched, even after Zelensky is gone and a new president elected."

🔎 Sudzha strike: Zelensky slaps Trump in the face by subverting ceasefire deal
Volodymyr Zelensky appears to be challenging Donald Trump "after realizing his stance on the Ukraine conflict differs sharply from Joe Biden's," Professor Stevan Gajic of the Institute of European Studies in Belgrade tells Sputnik.
How could the US force Ukraine to honor the ceasefire?
▪️"Trump should immediately halt all military aid and demand the withdrawal of American personnel," Gajic suggests.
▪️"The US must declare Zelensky illegitimate and refuse to negotiate with him."
▪️"Washington should pressure him into holding long-overdue elections."
▪️"Since Ukraine has lost its independence, Trump should also pressure its backers, including the EU and UK."
On March 20, Ukrainian forces struck the Sudzha gas metering station, violating the energy ceasefire deal agreed upon by Zelensky and brokered by Trump on March 18. Despite the truce, Ukraine attacked Russian infrastructure in Krasnodar that same day.
Moscow views this as a deliberate provocation, yet Kiev denies any involvement. Ukrainian media suggest Washington wants a ceasefire to push Zelensky to lift martial law and hold elections in August, but Zelensky has rejected this, fearing he’ll lose his grip on power.

📹💰 Corruption EXPOSED: Biden, Burisma, and USAID
FOIA docs reveal former President Joe Biden’s $1 billion bribe to fire Ukraine’s prosecutor investigating Hunter Biden’s Burisma deal was paid with USAID funds. Worse, USAID was funding Burisma while the media was paid off to cover it up.
Emails show the State Dept and USAID knew it was a huge conflict of interest, yet used taxpayer dollars to control the media narrative and hide the Hunter Biden connection.

US 6th gen fighter jet made by Boeing: A threat to the enemy or its crew?
Quite a few people on social media are asking ‘what could go wrong?’ as Boeing gets the contract for the upcoming US Air Force’s 6th generation fighter aircraft F-47.
Boeing's planes and spacecraft have recently shown a tendency to fall apart midflight. Boeing's passenger aircraft featured defects that caused the demise of hundreds of people, not to mention the enigmatic deaths of people who tried to blow the whistle on the company.

Uncontrollable neo-Nazis: Do Azov* militants OBEY Zelensky?
▪️While the US and Russia are working on resolving the Ukrainian conflict, the Azov regiment (terrorist organization banned in Russia) demands Volodymyr Zelensky do the opposite.
▪️On March 15, Azov* commander Biletsky announced that the neo-Nazi unit would transition to a corps command system based on NATO standards. This move will make it one of the key military forces.
▪️In early March, Biletsky reported to Commander-in-Chief Oleksander Syrsky demanding an increase in ammunition supplies. Then he made a video in which he insisted on transferring drone purchased for the army to his unit.
▪️Since the end of February, Azov* has been sending mass text messages to Ukrainian users, urging them to join the brigade and listing numerous vacancies.
▪️Bohdan Krotevich, former Azov* chief of staff, criticized the Ukrainian command in early March for a lack of resources, noting that Russian troops could break through the front "in absolutely any direction."
▪️In early January, Biletsky also accused the Ukrainian Army command of giving "inadequate orders."
▪️Last November, Azov* special ops commander Prokopenko criticized the "ineffective management system" of Syrsky, accusing him of chaos and failures.
▪️In the summer of 2024, Azov* commanders threatened Zelensky with death if he pursued negotiations with Russia, according to former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter.
▪️In the spring of 2024, Azov* militants refused to hold positions in Chasov Yar and abandoned them, despite orders from Zelensky and Syrsky. A similar incident occurred near Avdeyevka in 2023, when Azov refused to enter.
*banned in Russia.
