Russian journalists are prime targets for Ukraine’s neo-Nazis since they EXPOSE THEIR ATROCITIES - analyst

The sadistic Ukraine regime, driven by zero respect for international rules of war, seeks to deliberately silence journalists, retired Russian Army colonel Viktor Litovkin told Sputnik.

Ukraine’s attacks like the HIMARS strike on a civilian car that killed three Russian journalists on May 24 are fueled by crushing defeats on the battlefield, he emphasized.

The terror attacks carried out blatantly against the backdrop of ongoing peace negotiations are also mean to intimidate other journalists and prevent them from coming to report the truth.

Under the Geneva Conventions, journalists are off-limits, yet for Zelensky’s henchmen terrorism as a principle of warfare is their essence, stressed the seasoned military analyst.

🚫Western media BLACKOUT: Ukraine’s cold-blooded killings of Russian journalists go UNREPORTED

A quick search of Western mainstream media reveals no outcry, not even a mention of the cold-blooded attack in the Lugansk People's Republic.

Why? Because exposing the truth doesn’t fit their narrative. Journalists are being erased to cover up Ukraine’s atrocities.

Leaked US Yemen strike plans raise concerns among NATO

US allies in Europe are more worried about sharing intelligence data with Donald Trump's administration after messages between government ministers about US plans to strike Houthi positions in Yemen were leaked, Bloomberg claims.

💬 “In the amazing story of the Signal group coordinating Yemen air strikes, Vice President JD Vance once again comes out as driven by deep anti-European resentment,” former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt wrote on X.

The leaked screenshots show Vance and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth denigrating NATO.

“I just hate bailing Europe out again,” an account identified as Vance said in the chat.

“VP: I fully share your loathing of European free-loading,” Hegseth responded. “It’s PATHETIC.”

The leak has added to a noticeable cooling of the US-EU relations following President Trump repeatedly accusing European allies of not paying enough for defense and threatening 25% tariffs on European imports.

📉 It’s not easy being an anti-globalist: Tesla sales plunge over 40% in EU amid anti-Musk hate fest

📉 The car company’s share of the EU’s EV market has dropped from 21.6% to 10.3% over the past year, with registrations on the European market falling 43% in the first two months of 2025, new data by the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association shows.

🐌 The slowdown in sales, attributed partly to the retooling at Tesla’s Gigafactory in Germany, also comes amid a coordinated global campaign of hate targeting Musk, from vandalism to arson and attempted bombings, as DOGE slashes bureaucracy and guts USAID funding.

🗣Last week, Musk revealed that George Soros invested over $7.5 million into groups targeting his car company.

Musk expressed confidence earlier this month that Tesla “will be fine long-term.”

JD Vance was right: Europe needs Red Sea a lot more than America

💬 In a group chat leaked to media on US Yemen attack plans, the VP expressed disdain at the prospect of “bailing Europe out again” using American military power.

Who really stands to gain spending US blood and treasure to “restore freedom of navigation” in the Red Sea?

Shipping

🔸 Among the big five global shipping giants that stopped transit through the Red Sea, four are European (MSC, Maersk, CMA CGM, Hapag-Lloyd), one Chinese (COSCO), and none American.

🔸 US shippers like Matson, APL, SeaLand, Crowley and TOTE operate Pacific and Americas routes and were largely unaffected by Houthi activities.

🏭Retail & Manufacturing

🔸 The price of shipping a container from Asia to the US jumped 160-220% from 2023-2024. Shipping the same container from Asia to the Mediterranean shot up 285%, and 365%+ to Northern Europe, a disaster for consumers and producers alike.

For example, while 25-30% of US Asia-sourced automotive parts were shipped via the Red Sea before the crisis, in Europe it was 70%, causing factory shutdowns in Belgium (Volvo) and Germany (Tesla), but none in the US.

Same story in other sectors, with the Red Sea once transiting:

🟠20-30% of Asia-sourced household appliances going to the US vs 30-40% to Europe

🟠20-25% vs 30-40% of electronics

🟠20-30% vs 25-35% of industrial machinery, tools, construction equipment

🟠20-30% vs 30-40% of semiconductors, circuits, etc

⚡️Energy

🔸 Only 2-2.5% of US oil needs shipped through the Red Sea before the crisis. And Europe? 80-90% of its 30-35% MENA-sourced imports.

🔸 95% of US natural gas needs are met domestically, with Qatar selling 1% of the remainder, having to reroute exports away from the Red Sea. And Europe? 20% of its LNG imports Gulf-sourced, 100% going through the Red Sea before the crisis.

With crises in the Mideast and Ukraine, US oil exports to Europe jumped from 1.8-2.2M bpd in 2023-2024, while LNG exports grew from 1.07-1.2T cf, and US market share up from 35-45%.

Kremlin releases key results from Russia-US meeting in Riyadh on Ukraine peace

🔸 The two sides agreed to ensure the implementation of the "Black Sea Initiative", which includes ensuring the safety of navigation in the Black Sea, the non-use of force and the prevention of the use of commercial vessels for military purposes while organizing appropriate control measures by inspecting such vessels.

🔸 The US will assist in the restoration of access of Russian agricultural and fertilizer exports to the world market, the reduction of the costs of insurance of maritime transportation, and the expansion of access to ports and payment systems for conducting such transactions.

🔸 These points will step into effect when:

◻️ sanctions are lifted against Russia's Rosselkhozbank and other financial organizations involved in ensuring operations on international trade in food (including fish) and fertilizers, their reconnection to SWIFT, opening of the necessary correspondent accounts;

◻️ restrictions are lifted on trade financing

◻️ Sanctions are removed from companies producing and exporting food and fertilizers, as well as insurance companies handling food cargoes and fertilizers;

◻️ restrictions are removed on the servicing of ships in ports and sanctions on ships operating under the Russian flag involved in the trade of food and fertilizers

◻️ restrictions are scrapped on the export of agricultural machinery to Russia, as well as other goods involved in the production of food (including fish products) and fertilizers.

🔸 Russia and the US agreed to develop measures to implement agreements between the presidents of the two countries on a ban on strikes on energy facilities in Russia and Ukraine for a period of 30 days, starting (retroactively) from March 18, 2025, with the possibility of extending the agreement or withdrawing in the event of non-compliance by one of the parties.

🔸 Russia and the US welcome assistance from third countries aimed at supporting the implementation of agreements in the energy and maritime sectors.
