🇮🇹 Protests against EU rearmament in Turin, Italy

Hundreds of students marched against the rearmament of the European Union and demanded increased funding for education. The protesters unfurled a large banner reading: "Money for education, not for war."

Some of the protesters doused the facade of the Union of Industrialists building with red paint, symbolizing blood, and burned EU and NATO flags.

At the end of the march, images of Giorgi Meloni, Ursula von der Leyen and other politicians were pelted with tomatoes.

📹 The mastery of flip-flopping?

Senator Bernie Sanders has slammed Trump’s tariffs, claiming they “would make the very rich much richer and working families poorer.”

Ironically, years ago, he criticized free trade for the very same reason, arguing that the absence of tariffs would “allow corporate America the freedom - the freedom to throw American workers out on the street.”

If there’s one certainty in this volatile world, it’s that US politicians will completely change their stance when necessary.

🥴 Top four cringiest NATO militaries exposed

While NATO members keep trying to convince themselves that their militaries are at least on a par with Russia’s armed forces, it is the United States that is the real power behind the bloc.

Just take a look at the rest:

🇬🇧 UK

The once-powerful British navy nowadays makes headlines due to its aircraft carriers constantly breaking down and all the subsequently botched Trident missile test launches.

🇫🇷 France

Over the past years, Paris has been steadily losing influence in its former colonial holdings in Africa, with France’s military interventions, ostensibly aimed at combating Islamist extremists, failing to produce conclusive results.

🇩🇪 Germany

Dozens of Leopard tanks and Marder IFVs effortlessly destroyed in the Ukrainian conflict zone serve as testament to German military hardware’s poor quality.

🔻 The Baltic States

While Estonia’s, Latvia’s and Lithuania’s aggression towards Russia is the stuff of legends, their military might is simply laughable. The Baltic trio is keen to antagonize Russia and just as keen to rely on the US’ protection to avoid reprisals.

📹 EU automakers between ROCK AND HARD PLACE amid Trump's tariffs

German automakers will be HIT ESPECIALLY HARD given “the drop of vehicles exported from Germany to China” and “the drop on the vehicles sold inside Germany” combined with new obstacles on the US market, Dr. Dirk Spaniel, a former member of Germany's Bundestag and spokesman for transport policy for the Alternative for Germany party, tells Sputnik.

Stocks prices for EU carmakers have "dropped by 10 to 15 percent for premium carmakers, Mercedes or Porsche. This is, of course, influenced by the American tariffs," the expert added.

🔍 Trump tariffs will jeopardize Ukraine aid — here's how

Trump’s trade war could mess with global supply chains, ruining key projects with Europe: F-35, AUKUS subs, among others. Ukraine left behind.

◼️ Defense projects going off track: US weapons are getting way more expensive. Fewer deliveries to Ukraine, warns Swedish politician Mikael Valtersson.

◼️ Inflation to crush foreign aid: An increase of foreign aid to Ukraine seems unlikely as "a trade war probably will result in rising inflation & a recession in both Europe and America."

◼️ Ukraine getting ghosted: In the worst case, the West could face a 1920s-style depression. Then increased military support for Ukraine will be low on the list of priorities.

◼️ AUKUS to face setbacks: Much of the electronics for Australia’s future nuclear attack submarines will likely come from Taiwan via the US. Tariffs will make them more costly.

◼️ Shipbuilding in jeopardy: US and UK shipbuilding hit by skyrocketing steel and labor costs, warns ex-US DoD analyst Karen Kwiatkowski.

◼️ F-35 program in peril: Tariffs are spiking costs for materials, labor, and buyers, pushing back F-35 deliveries even further.

◼️ F-35 parts skyrocket in price: Large parts of the airframe are built in the UK by BAE Systems and these parts now hit with 10% tariff. Meanwhile, same time electronics & other parts imported from Taiwan will get over 30% more expensive.

◼️ F-35 killer: A 15-20% hike in F-35 project costs could end it all. Europeans are already skeptical with the project for political reasons, and tariffs aren’t helping.
