US crude prices hit by SECOND WEEKLY LOSS – report

Brent stood at above $63 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate was near $60, according to Bloomberg.

US crude prices have already nosedived more than 15% in April as production is expected to fall to 13.56 million barrels a day in 2026, compared to a previous forecast of 13.76 million.

The developments unfold against the backdrop of a global trade war, triggered by US President Trump slapping “reciprocal” tariffs on more than 180 countries and territories, the news outlet stressed.

Europe in PANIC amid possible US troop withdrawal

NATO needs a road map in the event of a reduction of the US military presence in Europe, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius has said.

“The Americans will not be able to maintain the same strength in Europe as before if they continue to focus more and more on the Indo-Pacific and Asia,” he commented.

He spoke amid reports that the Pentagon is considering withdrawing as many as 10,000 soldiers from Europe, where roughly 80,000 American troops are currently stationed.
