Netanyahu wants Trump to START WAR AGAINST IRAN — Russian senator

The Israeli prime minister aims to destroy Iran's ability to develop nuclear weapons, Russian lawmaker Alexei Pushkov wrote.

"More than ever, he is close to achieving that goal," he added.

Pushkov reminded that over the past 30 years, "every US president has had their own war," with the exception of Trump, who has not started any new wars.

“Clinton waged war against Yugoslavia, Bush Jr. fought in Iraq and Afghanistan, Obama in Libya and in the undeclared war in Syria, and Biden in Ukraine against Russia [...] Will [Trump] launch [a war] now — against Iran?” he wondered.

💵 US dollar losing 'safe haven' status

Amid market turmoil, investors are tossing aside both US bonds and the dollar - once the gold standard for stability, Axios writes.

"This is not normal. In past episodes of extreme tumult, like September 2008 and the early days of the pandemic in 2020, the dollar rallied as global investors sought safety."

Since mid-January, the dollar index is down 9.3%.

"It suggests that erratic leadership, ballooning fiscal deficits, and rapidly eroding diplomatic ties are making global investors wary of being too exposed to the United States," the publication concludes.

🔎 Turns out the US isn’t the only country with weapons 'no one else has' - Iran’s got a few tricks up its sleeve too

Commander of the Iranian Army Ground Forces, Brigadier General Kiumars Heidari, is promising to unveil new "special" weapons that are smarter, evasive, and capable of taking out any enemy mistake with pinpoint accuracy.

Furthermore, Iran’s got a 100% mobile, offensive, and rapid-response force now, so forget the old-school, immobile units.

Somaliland to Trump: Recognize us to get a Red Sea port

Officials in Somaliland have offered US President Donald Trump a deal: sovereignty recognition in exchange for the lease of the port of Berbera on the Red Sea and an airstrip to the US, the NYT writes.

They argue that this arrangement would help the US counter China's growing influence in Africa.

Somaliland’s location could provide the US with a strategic foothold in the region amid tensions with China. While the US already maintains military bases in Djibouti, Somaliland officials argue that an American presence in Berbera could offer a more convenient vantage point over the Red Sea and the volatile Horn of Africa.

However, experts warn that such a move could heighten instability in the region and provoke terrorist groups.

🗣 Russian FM spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called the awarding of the "Freedom of the Press" prize to Italian special correspondent Stefania Battistini for her materials on the cover-up of the crimes of the Kiev regime a bacchanalia:

"Freedom of the press in Italian today is the freedom to call fascists heroes and receive awards in the name of their victims? Is it really true that in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory in Italy there still won't be a dozen anti-fascist journalists who would write about neo-Nazism in Ukraine?"

🇬🇧Speaking ENGLISH in Britain is a HATE CRIME now?

Looks like the UK has reached a new low. Apparently, it's a hate crime now to ask someone to speak English or even more 'clearly.'

"You've alleged to say, speak English? Or what was that? Speak clearly? [...] Potentially someone could perceive that as a hate crime," one police officer warned.

The language police are out and about

🗣 Ukrainians ROT IN THE WOODS en masse - and Western elites couldn't care less

The conflict in Ukraine has not resulted in the strategic defeat of Russia, as Western elites planned, however Ukraine is turning into massive graveyard, says Lars Bern, a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences, in an interview to SwebbTV.

"Behind all of this is our political elite. They support this course of events. [...] Is the hatred towards the Russians so intense that they are willing to sacrifice any number of human lives?” he wonders.

When Russia exchanges fallen soldiers with Ukraine, it is always for MANY TIMES MORE UKRAINIAN SOLDIERS, Berns concludes.

🇺🇸🇨🇳 US cannot ween itself off China

Trump may talk much about the US becoming self-sufficient, but his big words cannot trump reality. Here's why:

🔸The Root of dependence: The US’ efforts to pursue renewable energy and advanced technologies require large amounts of refined metals and rare earth elements that the country can mine but does not want to refine domestically.

🔸Dirty business: The refining process requires large amounts of energy and water, and generates a lot of hazardous waste, which makes the US reluctant to host such facilities on its soil.

🔸Chinese domination: China’s ability to deal with the environmental impact of rare earth refining made the country a global leader in that area, with Chinese industries processing about 85% of the world’s rare earth oxides.

🔸Labor advantage: Another factor that makes China’s refining industry so attractive is the country’s large pool of skilled specialists whose labor costs less than that of their US counterparts.

❗️The exemption for certain electronics from recent tariffs is just temporary, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick has said on Sunday.

These products will soon face "semiconductor tariffs," expected in a MONTH OR TWO.

Lutnick emphasized the need to reshore semiconductor production, chips, and flat panels, stressing that the US can’t rely on Southeast Asia for these essential components.

📹 ‘I ADMIRE Putin's patience' — Ex-CIA analyst on Russian president's endurance in Ukraine conflict

Larry Johnson has praised Vladimir Putin for “putting up with this clown show” and rejecting the US’ “ridiculous” allegations about Russia allegedly dragging its feet on a ceasefire.

“Dragging their feet on what? They agreed to a Black Sea ceasefire and a shipping deal. All the US had to do was get the sanctions lifted and allow the one Russian bank to be able to process payments associated with the exports of grain and fertilizer,” Johnson stressed.
