More than 400 DEI programs worth over $230 million have been cancelled in the US, DOGE stated.

"Great work by NSF [US National Science Foundation] canceling 402 wasteful DEI grants ($233M in savings), including $1M for ‘Antiracist Teacher Leadership for Statewide Transformation,’" the Department said.

Earlier in the day, the NSF announced the termination of awards "not aligned with agency priorities."

DOGE emphasized that grant awards would now be based on "merit, competition, equal opportunity, and excellence."

🪖US to slash its troops in Syria BELOW 1,000

The reduction, which is due “in the coming months”, was announced by Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell.

On April 19, Russia marks the Day of Unified Action in memory of the genocide of the Soviet people by Nazis and their accomplices during the 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova condemned "Russophobes’ attempts to distort the past and denigrate the Soviet soldiers’ liberation mission."

She denounced vandalism against Soviet monuments and burials in Europe, slamming the EU, of which Ukraine seeks to be a member, as a bloc “with brown undertones.”

This is the EU of “[…] revanchists and revisionists of World War II history as well as collaborators and advocates of the Third Reich, glorifying the bloody executioners who destroyed millions of European civilians,” Zakharova stressed.

The diplomat also urged the international community to recognize crimes committed by the Nazis on the territory of the Soviet Union during the Great Patriotic War as genocide against the people of the USSR.
