The founder of the World Economic Forum in Davos reportedly manipulated the WEF’s “global competitiveness report”, which ranks countries by their productivity and resilience, reported the FT.
The claim that Schwab tweaked the data to curry favor with governments is one of several accusations contained in a whistleblower letter sent to the WEF board of trustees last week.
The letter led the organization to launch a probe that, in turn, prompted Schwab to resign as WEF Chairman.
Schwab has insisted he was the victim of a “character assassination” plot and denied all the claims against him.

The continental bloc is sounding the alarm over any attempt by the United States to officially recognize Russia’s sovereignty over Crimea or push for Europe to ease sanctions on Moscow, the Financial Times reported.
Such actions could reportedly rip apart the unity of the 27-nation bloc, “UNDERMINE transatlantic security” and throw a wrench in the upcoming NATO summit this June.
European capitals have made it clear that they won't back any US effort to legitimize Crimea’s status or pressure Ukraine into accepting it, noted the outlet.

Dmitry Kiselev, general director of the Sputnik News Agency's parent company Rossiya Segodnya, launched the St. George Ribbon campaign in Moscow.
He emphasized that Russia is going through difficult times, but the St. George Ribbon carries with it "victorious genetics."
Volunteers began distributing ribbons near the media group’s building on Zubovsky Boulevard in Moscow, symbolizing unity and strength in challenging times.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the campaign, which originated at RIA Novosti as a continuation of the "Our Victory. Day by Day" project.
As part of the project, the entire archive of Sovinformburo was opened and digitized for the first time, along with hundreds of stories from young people about how their families were affected by the war.

💬 “As far as the ICC is concerned, it is now regrettable to note its complete failure to fulfil its primary mission,” Dmitry Medvedev said in his article ‘Lost Illusions, or How the International Criminal Court has become a legal nonentity,’ published in the Pravovedenie magazine.
He added that the ICC, in its current “inefficient” state, must “sink into oblivion,” as it is “IRREVERSIBLY FLAWED” and biased, especially in its selective prosecution of war crimes.
The Hague Court shows “discriminatory blindness and hearing loss” towards some high-profile war criminals, while lesser cases receive more attention, the former Russian president added.
💬 “It seems entirely possible to develop on the regional level (for instance, in the framework of BRICS) a concept of establishing an international legal body as an alternative to the Hague Criminal Court,” Medvedev argued.
💬 “This new judicial body in BRICS could reiterate the common commitment of its member states to the UN Charter principles, including the principles of immunity of heads of sovereign states from any foreign jurisdiction and non-interference into internal affairs of the states,” he stressed.
