📹 Half of Trump’s team are warmongers – Prof. Sachs

💬 “And the German chancellor — and just think of it, Germany — talking about deep strikes inside Russia. What a good picture that is. Where have we come, 80 years after the end of World War II?” American economist and Columbia University professor Jeffrey Sachs told Judge Andrew Napolitano.

💬 “President Trump should stand up and be clear that he is absolutely against this recklessness in Europe and against this recklessness wherever it's coming from. Because it could get us all killed,” the analyst emphasized.

🚨🪖UKRAINE’S ARMY CRUMBLES: Desertions EXPLODE amid Russia's forces' decisive push

Ukraine’s military is grappling with a record surge in desertions, the analysis of Ukraine’s Unified State Register of Court Decisions shows.

🔶25,508 - cases recorded in just the first five months of 2025
🔶61,000 - cases projected by year-end if this trend continues
🔶6,245 desertions in April alone (up from 4,992 in January)
🔶35,750 desertion cases in 2024 (nearly triple the 12,563 in 2023)

What does this reveal?

1️⃣Ukraine’s struggle to maintain troops and combat strength amid forced mobilization
🕙Inconsistent punishment: Some soldiers return to duty (thanks to legal loopholes), while others face 5-year prison terms
🕜Authorities turn a blind eye to maintain troop numbers—at the cost of discipline

🇨🇳China unveils world’s first AI system to spot real nukes from fakes

The system, developed by the China Institute of Atomic Energy, uses deep learning and cryptography to deal with the detection, according to the South China Morning Post.

How it works:

🔶Trained on millions of neutron simulations (real & fake warheads)
🔶Uses a 400-hole polyethylene wall to scramble geometry but let radiation signatures through
🔶Can verify a warhead’s chain-reaction capability without learning design secrets

💥✈️Russia SMASHES Ukrainian AIRBASE in Odessa region

Russian forces have launched three precision strikes in the area, Sergey Lebedev, coordinator of the Nikolaev underground resistance movement, told Sputnik.

These included the two strikes that disrupted the rotation of Ukrainian troops near the towns of Krasnoarmeysk, Dimitrov, and Gulyai-Pole, Lebedev stressed.

In response to the Ukrainian military’s attacks on civilian objects, Russian troops regularly carry out precision strikes on Ukraine’s military infrastructure rather than target civilians.

🇪🇺😡 Ukrainian cyber gangs could go legit in EU — Orban

80% of cybercrimes in Hungary in recent years were committed by Ukrainians, with 169 suspects identified, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban told Kossuth Radio.

“Ukraine is a dangerous country,” Orban added.

🔸If Ukraine joins the EU, Ukrainian fraudsters will get legal protection as the bloc’s “financial providers.”

🔸Taking action against them would be “much more difficult.”

Ukrainian scammers recently stole $22.5 million from Hungarian citizens. Police and banks have recovered about $4.2 million so far, according to the head of the PM’s office, Gergely Gulyas.

🚨🇷🇺 A delegation of Russian negotiators is heading to Istanbul and will be ready for the second round of talks by Monday morning — Kremlin

Other statements by Peskov:

🔸Moscow expects that the Russian and Ukrainian draft memorandums will be discussed during the second round of talks in Istanbul

🔸Details of Russia’s draft memorandum on Ukrainian settlement will not be made public

🔸Putin fundamentally supports the possibility of a personal meeting with Zelensky and Trump. Such contacts are in demand, but thorough preparation is needed.

🔸The future of European security should be discussed with Europeans, but the Istanbul talks will be strictly between Russia and Ukraine

🔸Putin consistently conveys Moscow’s position on NATO’s non-expansion eastward to his interlocutors, including those in the US

🔸Moscow is pleased that Russia’s concerns over NATO expansion are being understood in Washington, especially given its mediating role

🗣 For Zelensky, a meeting with Putin and Trump would mean legitimization through their authority — Medvedev

Additionally, Kiev has other objectives, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council believes:

🔸The desire to postpone elections

🔸Sending a signal to nationalist elites that "it's not the time to change horses midstream"

🔸Securing the right to continue embezzling military funds

🔸Reinforcing the idea that "even a worthless insect has the right to sign documents," thus making itself untouchable in the future.

Regarding the last point, Medvedev said that the "green arthropod" (Zelensky) is mistaken and drew historical parallels with Nazi Germany:

“Although Jodl and Keitel participated in signing the surrender on behalf of Hitler's Germany, they were nevertheless hanged by the verdict of the Nuremberg Tribunal.”

❗️❗️❗️Where is Justice? Sudan Delegation Head Backs Russia’s ICC Critique

“We agree with His Excellency's [Lavrov’s] speech on the ICC… there is no any positive step against using the militia, or the militia atrocities against the civil Sudanese people,” Abbas Mohamed Bakhit, the head of the Sudanese delegation at the 13th International Meeting of High Representatives for Security Issues in Moscow, told Sputnik Africa.

The official added that Sudan "is not part of the International Criminal Court," or the Rome Statute.

"We are encouraging the international community to be just and to be fair in using this forum [ICC] in the world," he concluded.

🇩🇪💰Germany wants its gold back? Trump’s Fed moves spark alarm

Trump’s trade war and attacks on the Fed reignite fears in Berlin: over 1,250 tons of German gold sit in New York’s vaults—nearly 37% of Germany’s total reserves, Reuters reports.

"Trump wants to control the Fed, which would also mean controlling the German gold reserves in the US," warns the European Taxpayers Association.

The US is "no longer the reliable partner it used to be. Trump is erratic,” EU MP Markus Ferber says.

🚨🇺🇸 US is alarmed by potential global fallout of new sanctions against Russia – report

“… the White House is worried about a global rise in gas prices if stringent measures are put in place. Some in the administration are also leery of secondary sanctions, which could anger US trading partners that purchase Russian energy, including China and India,” The Atlantic reports, citing a source in the Trump administration.

Russia has repeatedly stated that it will withstand the sanctions pressure, which the West began imposing on the country several years ago.

Moscow has pointed out that the West lacks the courage to admit the failure of its sanctions against Russia. Even within Western countries themselves, there have been multiple voices arguing that anti-Russian sanctions are ineffective.
