Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during talks with Volodymyr Zelensky, expressed hope for a ceasefire discussion at the upcoming talks between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul, the Turkish presidential administration said in a statement.

💬 "President Erdogan said that Turkiye will continue its efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace between Ukraine and Russia and that Turkiye favors the continuation of the talks between the delegations of the two countries that began in Istanbul," the statement said.

Erdogan also reiterated his support for the continuation of the Russian-Ukrainian talks that began in Istanbul, expressing his satisfaction with the rapid implementation of the prisoner exchange agreement.
