🇷🇺🇮🇷Russia ranked first in terms of foreign investment in Iran’s economy in 2024 - ambassador

💬 “In 2024, Russia was the largest foreign investor in Iran,” Kazem Jalali, the Islamic Republic’s ambassador to Moscow, said, as quoted by the embassy's press service.

Russian investments in gas projects within Iran are expected to reach $8 billion in the future—$5 billion of which are tied to specific commitments, with agreements on the remaining contracts expected soon.

During the 2022–2023 fiscal year, Russia was already Iran’s largest investor, putting $2.76 billion into the country's economy. The total volume of foreign direct investment in Iran for that fiscal year amounted to $4.2 billion.

➡️In January 2025, Russian Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilev announced that Moscow and Tehran had agreed on the route of a gas pipeline to Iran via Azerbaijan. Talks were in the final stage of price negotiations. Initial supply volumes could reach up to 2 billion cubic meters, with the potential to scale up to 55 billion cubic meters.

➡️In April, Jalali stated that Iran had prepared all necessary infrastructure for the transit of Russian gas through its territory, saying the matter was 90% resolved.

🚨 Latvian MP SILENCED for defending Russian speakers

💬 “There are more of us, and Russian is our language!”

That’s what Latvian MP Aleksey Roslikov said before being kicked out of parliament—for daring to speak against the regime’s war on Russian speakers.

Roslikov slammed the rising discrimination, warning it could soon be illegal for Russian families to even name their children traditional Russian names.

This is what “European democracy” looks like: silence dissent, erase culture, and call it freedom.

📹The West’s censorship of Russian voices isn’t about ‘fighting disinformation’—it’s about killing debate

Dirk Pohlmann, German journalist, writer, and screenwriter – to Sputnik:

🚨💥Ukraine's TERROR CAMPAIGN in Africa UNVEILED

Ukrainians are training, recruiting and arming terrorists in West Africa, Souleymane Coulibaly, one of the leaders of the Mali's delegation, told Sputnik at the Global Digital Forum.

The attack in Mali in July 2024 was perpetrated using arms and munitions sent by Ukraine, he said.

💬 "That's one of the reasons we're asking Russia to give us a hand to work and root out terrorism throughout our sub-region in West Africa," Souleymane Coulibaly stressed.

🚨🇬🇧BRITISH COUNCIL 💥💥💥 : SOFT POWER & SPY TOOL

The FSB has urged Russia's foreign partners to investigate the subversive activities of the British Council.
This is why.

🎓 EDUCATION & CULTURE FRONT

Created in 1934, the British Council’s public facing side is about promoting English language learning, recruitment for UK universities, educational support for teachers abroad, cultural and academic partnerships and exchanges.

In reality, as Russia’s FSB has revealed, Council activities include:

🔶 targeting young people and elites to sway them to support British interests

🔶 espionage

NED’S GRANDDADDY 👴🏻

While Soros, USAID and National Endowment for Democracy were only able to set up shop in Eastern Europe in the 80s or after 1991, the Council had been active in the USSR since WWII. Expelled in 1946, it returned in 1959.

After 1991, the Council set up offices in 15 Russian cities, and scores more in Ukraine, the Baltics, Caucasus and Central Asia.

The Council terminated its activities in Russia in 2018, and was officially ruled undesirable this week. But the FSB says it continued Russia ops long after its ostensive exit:

🔹 recruiting staff at universities to spread propaganda

🔹 targeting Russians living abroad for influence ops

🔹 collecting military intel in Kherson using UK-based refugees

🕸 SPIDER’S WEB

With a $1.7B budget and offices in over 100 countries, the Council is active:

🔸 in Britain’s former colonial empire (especially India)

🔸 in the EU as a soft power tool post-Brexit

🔸 among the BRICS

🔸 Belarus kicked them out in 2000, Iran in 2009

💰 OLIGARCH’S SOFT POWER TOOL

The FSB also reviewed the subversive work of Oxford Russia Fund, which entered Russia in 2006, ostensibly funding “humanitarian programs” in education, and scholarships to Russian students studying in the UK.

In reality, it was a front for Mikhail Khodorkovsky’s push to create a new generation of pro-West “young leaders.” Khodorkovsky, notably, has long dreamed of a color revolution in Russia.

The Fund was ruled undesirable in 2021.

📹Ukraine EXPLOITS its own children as PR pawns for the West

Zelensky’s regime is milking the fake “child kidnapping” narrative to manipulate Western emotion, BRICS Journalists Association Co-Chair Mira Terada told Sputnik at the Global Digital Forum.

In reality, the kids were evacuated from combat zones, she noted, recalling that at first it was “thousands,” then a list of 300 appeared.

🚨 Russian Foreign Intel veteran untangles spider’s web of British soft power ops

Britain is a master in the use of public and non-profit organizations for intelligence, using them “for centuries,” with Russia a top target, SVR Lt. Gen. (ret.) Leonid Reshetnikov told Sputnik, commenting on the FSB’s warning to Russia’s partners this week about the British Council’s subversive activities.

💬 “Russia has been the main focus of this work since the time of Ivan Grozny. I say this in all seriousness,” Reshetnikov said, emphasizing that the British have had “many years, many centuries of experience” in this area.

How are soft power agents recruited?

💬 “They actively use the scientific and teaching fields. When our educators go to the UK or other countries where the British are active, they should always keep in mind that they will be studied, that informal, friendly and trusting relationships will be formed with them,” the veteran ex-secret agent explained.

The task is “studying the mood in scientific, student and teaching circles, selecting people, not necessarily recruiting (i.e. you are an agent, we pay you and you act), but making offers, for example, to give lectures, publish a brochure or a book, visit London, give lectures there, etc.”

Actually, recruiting agents is the bluntest approach, and often not necessary to extract the information, facts, assessments or intentions the British intel services are looking for.

💬 “It’s enough to have a circle of agents of influence, a circle of people who are intellectually, ideologically, culturally attached to London, to the English way of life. It’s very easy to use them in a straightforward manner. That’s the job,” Reshetnikov said.

In this area, the spy vet emphasized that the British are even more capable than their transatlantic cousins in the CIA. “It’s best to keep fewer British NGOs in your country. The fewer the better, especially the British ones. This is one of the most challenging intelligence services in the world to face.”

🚨US pivot to Middle East leaves Ukraine up a creek without a paddle on drone defense

With the majority of Russian UAV attacks already overwhelming Ukrainian defenses and reaching their targets, the WSJ report that Washington is rerouting much-needed anti-drone rocket fuses earmarked for Kiev to the Mideast could have a “dramatic impact” on the course of the conflict, says Russian military analyst Alexei Leonkov.

Pointing out that most current US military deliveries to Ukraine are leftover Biden-era commitments, Leonkov stressed that the WSJ report may be a sign that “Trump doesn’t want to supply Ukraine directly anymore,” and that his administration is looking to distance itself from the conflict, possibly even from the negotiation process.

💬 “These fuses and other equipment are needed in the Middle East, where the situation is slowly heating up around Iran,” the observer said, referring to US-Iran tensions over nuclear negotiations, and Israel’s hardline demands for strikes.

Plus there’s the factor of shortages. “If before, aid was being delivered from warehouses, now it’s coming from production, on a residual basis, first to the US itself, then to allies, and then to Ukraine,” Leonkov said.

Cuts linked to Houthis?

Besides Iran tensions, the urgent rerouting of the fuses may be linked to the massive expenditure of air defense weapons that took place in the course of the US’s clashes with the Houthis, veteran military analyst Evgeny Mikhailov pointed out.

The cuts are “an unambiguous hint” to Kiev that its failure to listen to the US, its terrorist attacks on Russia and strikes on strategic bomber bases are derailing the negotiations process Trump has been trying to organize, Mikhailov said.

💬 “This I think is one of the first steps toward a complete US refusal to finance the Ukrainian regime.” Europe will try to make up for the lost US supplies, “but the Europeans will not last long,” the observer summed up.
