‼️The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said it had put its Incident and Emergency Center in full 24/7 response mode over the situation around the Zaporozhskaya nuclear power plant (NPP).

Hours earlier, the Zaporozhskaya NPP reported about a fire on its territory but later the Ukrainian State Emergency Service said that the blaze had erupted outside the plant, with one of its units having been switched off.

"IAEA puts its Incident and Emergency Centre (@IAEAIEC) in full 24/7 response mode due to serious situation at #Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant in #Ukraine," the IAEA tweeted.

🚫 Reddit bans links to Russian state media across the entire site

The social hub has banned links to state-supported Russian media outlets across the entire site, for all users worldwide. While numerous subreddits previously banned links to Russian media outlets including RT and Sputnik, this will make it harder to share the content.

Reddit recently quarantined the r/Russia subreddit, keeping it out of searches and recommendations while prompting a warning to visitors.

This won't prevent determined users from sharing Russian state media content, as they can use proxy sites or republish articles in their posts. It might also complicate attempts to counter The Kremlin’s official message while using state-supported articles as reference points.

🔸 British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Friday that Russian forces must immediately cease an attack on a Ukrainian nuclear power plant where a fire broke out.

🔸 Johnson spoke to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy about the situation at the Zaporozhskaya nuclear power plant in the country's southeast.

🔸 "The prime minister said the reckless actions of President Putin could now directly threaten the safety of all of Europe," Downing Street said.

🔸 "He said the UK would do everything it could to ensure the situation did not deteriorate further," it added. "Both leaders agreed a ceasefire was crucial."
