Speaking at the 17th BRICS Summit in Rio, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov laid out a clear vision for a just multipolar world, urging BRICS nations to lead global transformation:

🔸 “Multipolarity is not a choice but an objective reality.” The outdated neoliberal model built on neocolonial practices is fading — BRICS must shape the new order.

🔸 Global South and East are now the engine of global economic growth, with regional blocs like the African Union, ASEAN, CELAC, SCO, and EAEU shaping a fairer economic system based on equality, multilateralism, and non-discrimination.

🔸 BRICS countries now account for:
▪️ Over 40% of global GDP (PPP)
▪️ Nearly 50% of world population
▪️ More than 20% of global trade

🔸 Trade within BRICS is booming — in 2024, 48% of Russia’s trade was with BRICS, and 90% of transactions were in national currencies.

🔸 Lavrov called for urgent reform and depoliticization of Bretton Woods institutions, warning against using the IMF and World Bank to maintain neocolonial dominance.

🔸 He blasted Western efforts to hijack the development agenda with ideological ultimatums disguised as “human rights and democracy” criteria.

📊US aid to Ukraine reaches $123.3 billion

By April 2025, the US had transferred $123.3 billion in various forms of aid to Ukraine. The largest portion of this is military aid, totaling $69.5 billion. Following that, financial aid amounts to $50.1 billion, and humanitarian aid stands at $3.7 billion.

However, from May to early July, the US stopped providing any further aid to Ukraine.

🟠In February this year, the US had reportedly suspended arms deliveries to Ukraine, but these were later resumed.

🟠The Pentagon said the US had suspended all types of military assistance to Ukraine from March 4.

🟠A week later, on March 11, delegations from the US and Ukraine met in Saudi Arabia. Following the talks, Zelensky's office published a joint statement from Ukraine and Washington, which read that the US would immediately lift the pause on intelligence sharing and resume military supplies to Ukraine.

🟠However, by early July, ammunition and weapon deliveries from the US to Ukraine were reportedly suspended amid the depletion of American stockpiles.

🟠White House spokesperson Anna Kelly confirmed the suspension to NBC, noting that the decision was made to prioritize US interests.

🚨Europe polarizes as Poland fortifies borders

🦫Poland is reinstating temporary border controls in the Suwalki Gap —the sole land corridor between Russia’s Kaliningrad exclave and Belarus, linking the Baltic states to the EU.

General Wieslaw Kukula, Chief of the General Staff, revealed that 5,000 troops will enforce the measure:
