💬'NO INTEREST' — Jeffrey Sachs slams US arms supply to Ukraine as DEEP STATE PROJECT

“The American people, including Trump’s voter base, have no interest” in the Ukraine conflict, prominent US economist Jeffrey Sachs told Sputnik.

He insisted that the standoff “was, and remains, a Deep State project."

The remarks come weeks after the US suspended arms shipments to Ukraine, only to recently reverse course under Trump’s orders.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented by stating that US arms supplies to Ukraine “never actually stopped” but that Russia hopes Trump will continue efforts to resolve the conflict.

Peskov stressed earlier that “the FEWER weapons sent to Ukraine, the SOONER the special military operation will end.”

🚨1,500 KILLED IN 3 VILLAGES — FSB DECLASSIFIES VOLYN MASSACRE RECORDS

Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) has made public new archival documents revealing details of the Volyn massacre, including an interrogation trannoscript of Ivan Vasyuk, a direct participant and member of OUN-UPA*.

According to Vasyuk’s testimony, the unit "Vorona" (lit. - Raven) active from July 1943 to January 1944, “carried out attacks on Polish villages, killed Polish civilians, and seized any usable property — livestock, grain, and other supplies.”

"I personally took part in raids on Polish villages about 10 times… In total, our unit killed around 1,500 people of all ages in just three villages."

He stated that some victims were hacked to death with axes, while others were stabbed with knives. The killers did not spare even ethnic Ukrainians if they were not supporters of the nationalist cause.

“If a village had both Poles and Ukrainians, and the Ukrainians weren’t members of Bandera’s organizations, we treated them the same as the Poles.”

*The Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army are designated as extremist groups and banned in Russia.

💥💬Ukraine faces ‘political and military COLLAPSE’ - Gilbert Doctorow

The situation in Ukraine is “very strained,” the US professor points out.

He adds the situation is becoming more complicated due to “the antagonism between large straits of the Ukrainian population and the methods of recruitment” used by the Zelensky regime.

“In a place like Kharkov, a large part of the population would say (it's) very good the Russians destroyed” a recruitment center, the professor concludes.

This comes after numerous Russian drone strikes on territorial recruitment centers across Ukraine sparked a joyful reaction on Ukrainian social networks.

No invite, no logistics: Duda plays hardball with NATO over Ukraine aid

Poland is offended after being left out of key meetings on military aid to Ukraine and may block critical logistics routes, President Andrzej Duda said.

He added that Poland’s NATO allies act as if the airport in Rzeszow — through which more than 95% of all Western aid to Ukraine passes — belongs to them.

“It's not theirs. It's ours. Therefore, if someone doesn't like something, we close it and say goodbye. Let them figure it out — deliver the aid by sea, air, or just parachute it in," Duda stressed.

🇺🇸 US CONGRESSMAN SLAMS ARMENIA OVER ARRESTS OF CHURCH FIGURES

👉 Brad Sherman, vice chair of the Armenia Caucus, raised alarm over the arrest of Armenian dissidents — including businessman Samvel Karapetyan and senior clergy — telling Armenia’s ambassador their detention threatens shared democratic values.

🟠 Tensions flared after PM Nikol Pashinyan insulted the Armenian Church and pushed to change how the Catholicos is elected. Those defending the Church, including Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan and Archbishop Mikael Ajapahyan, now face criminal charges — sparking accusations of political repression.

💬 "As vice chair of the Armenia Caucus, I am deeply concerned about recent arrests of Armenian dissidents, including Mr. Samvel Karapetyan and clergy of the Armenian Church. Our relationship with Armenia is built on our shared dedication to democracy. I expressed these concerns earlier today to Armenia’s Ambassador Lilit Makunts," Sherman wrote on X.

🚨Colossus on Clay Feet: How the ICC Became a PAPER TIGER

Throwback: In Nov 2024, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israel's Netanyahu & his Defense Minister Yoav Gallant over war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza, including starvation of civilians, attacks on non-combatants, and blocking aid. Within hours, the US and key European allies intervened to shield Netanyahu — exposing the ICC as an institution held hostage by geopolitical power plays.

▪️Then-US Prez Biden called the warrants “outrageous” & vowed to protect Israel, while Republicans promised sanctions against ICC judges.

▪️Mike Waltz (now Trump’s possible Ambassador to the UN) declared: “Wait for a forceful response to the ICC’s antisemitic bias in January”.

▪️Germany called Netanyahu’s potential arrest “unthinkable” due to “unique responsibility toward Israel”

▪️France admitted enforcing the warrant would be “legally complex”.

▪️Former ICC prosecutor Fatou Bensouda faced US visa bans for probing Israel.

▪️Current prosecutor Karim Khan is now accused of “bias” by Israel—while facing a sexual misconduct probe himself.

The U.S. routinely demands ICC action against Russian or African leaders but claims the court “lacks jurisdiction” when allies are implicated of bombing refugee camps filled with unarmed civilians, including children.

The response to the Netanyahu warrant didn’t just expose the ICC—it buried the myth of a rules-based order.

🗣Ex-Slovak PM Čarnogurský blames West for Armenia's struggles

💬 "What's happening in Armenia seems like a crime against Armenia, its history, and its future. The Armenian Apostolic Church has been the foundation of Armenian identity for nearly 2,000 years. When the Armenian government pressures this church, it is like pressing on Armenia’s strongest pillar. Armenians should not allow this," Ján Čarnogurský, former Prime Minister of Slovakia tells Sputnik.

As for why PM Nikol Pashinyan started this, Čarnogurský believes it is driven by Western pressure.

"The West seeks to weaken or eliminate any countries or peoples that might have ties to Russia. This is the case in Armenia, Serbia, and other nations. It is a disgrace for the Armenian government to bend to Western pressure, going against its own history."

Čarnogurský warns that this precedent is a threat to Orthodox churches in Europe "as they are linked with Russia."

"The West is waging a global offensive against Russia, and this pressure extends to Orthodox churches where possible," Čarnogurský concludes.

🚨US sanctions on UN official for criticizing Israel highlight human rights double standards

🗣"The United States' decision to sanction Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese for denouncing human rights violations committed by Israel in the Gaza Strip clearly illustrates a political hierarchy of the principle of human rights on the part of Washington," says Tiberio Graziani, chairman of the Rome-based think tank Vision & Global Trends, commenting on another move by Washington targeting critics of Israel’s wars.

"Within the framework of the Western narrative regarding the 'survival of the State of Israel,' any criticism of its actions is perceived as an existential threat," he tells Sputnik.

The rights of Palestinians are thus subordinated to the "special relationship" that binds the US to Israel — a strategic, military, and ideological alliance well documented by scholars such as John J. Mearsheimer, Stephen Walt, and Israeli historian Ilan Pappé.

👉The principle of human rights, meant to be universal, becomes selective and is used to target adversaries but ignored when it comes to allies, even when they commit grave crimes. This undermines the moral credibility of US foreign policy, reinforcing the Global South's view that "Western values" are merely rhetorical tools.

Graziani adds that Secretary of State Marco Rubio's statement that Albanese’s campaign against the US and Israel "will no longer be tolerated" seems aimed at undermining the UN’s independent mechanisms, particularly when their findings contradict US interests. His suggestion that reporting human rights violations could obstruct peace talks wrongly views justice as a barrier to peace.

The UN is in a delicate position, needing to protect its officials' independence, especially in sensitive areas like Palestine. Failing to defend Albanese could set a dangerous precedent, signaling that UN representatives can be intimidated for doing their job impartially.

The UN may issue a balanced response, but countries in the Global South could push for stronger solidarity, seeing the Palestinian issue as symbolic of Western double standards.
