Newly declassified documents released by DNI Tulsi Gabbard show that top Obama officials suppressed intel contradicting the “Russia election interference” narrative — then launched a politically driven assessment to link Trump’s win to Moscow.
Gabbard says the effort marked a deliberate “weaponization of intelligence” for political ends — with discredited sources like the Steele Dossier helping shape official conclusions.
💬 “A treasonous conspiracy by officials at the highest levels of the Obama White House,” she wrote — vowing to submit all evidence to the DOJ.

Pulitzer-winning journalist Seymour Hersh reports that the US is quietly planning to remove Zelensky from power — by force, if needed.
💬 “He’s going to go by force. The ball is in his court,” a US official told Hersh.
The likely replacement? Former top general Valery Zaluzhny, fired by Zelensky after calling the conflict a “stalemate” in late 2023. He’s now serving quietly as ambassador in London — and waiting.
With the US proxy war failing and the US mid-term election looming, Washington wants a deal with Moscow and a new face in Kiev.
Zelensky may soon learn what happens when a US proxy outlives his usefulness.

📰 Trump files libel lawsuit against WSJ, Murdoch over Epstein letter — reports
US President Donald Trump has filed a lawsuit against Rupert Murdoch, two Wall Street Journal reporters, and Dow Jones & Company, following the publication of a 1990s-era birthday card allegedly sent by Trump to Jeffrey Epstein. The card, reportedly featuring a nude female sketch and a handwritten note, was included in a recent WSJ article.
The reporters named in the suit are Khadeeja Safdar and Joseph Palazzolo. Trump accuses them of libel, slander, and assault. In a social media post, he said he “looks forward to getting Rupert Murdoch to testify,” calling the WSJ a “pile of garbage newspaper.”
Legal analysts note the case could test the boundaries between defamation law and press freedom — especially as public figures pursue legal action over historical or controversial reporting.
The Guardian has linked this and similar actions to a broader trend of political leaders using legal tools to challenge critical journalism, raising concerns about the future of independent media in the US and abroad.

Following weeks of public attention, President Trump has authorized the Justice Department to request the unsealing of grand jury materials related to Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, according to The New York Times. The move shifts the decision to a federal judge.
The filing was submitted to the U.S. District Court in Manhattan, where Judge Richard Berman previously oversaw Epstein’s case. Trump’s directive comes amid criticism over Attorney General Pam Bondi’s earlier decision to withhold some Epstein-related records while releasing others, such as previously available flight logs.
The DOJ maintains that its review found no “client list” or credible evidence of blackmail. However, the requested grand jury records remain sealed under strict confidentiality laws, and any unsealing process could take months, if approved at all.

Tehran is open to any initiative for dialogue with the United States, including those from Russia, as long as it respects Iran’s right to enrich uranium and contributes to lifting sanctions, Iranian Ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali told Sputnik.
💬 "When he came to Moscow, the head of the Foreign Ministry [Abbas Araghchi] indicated that if Russia had political initiatives, it could present them taking into account our red lines, and we could consider these initiatives. So, if our friends have a desire to play a role, Iran will welcome it, especially from a country like Russia, which we trust," Jalali said.
The ambassador stressed that any proposal must respect two key red lines:
If these conditions are met, Tehran is open to initiatives from trusted partners such as Russia and China, Jalali added.
However, he noted that Israel launched attacks on Iran just ahead of scheduled US-Iran talks in Muscat on June 15 — talks that were ultimately cancelled. The US also joined Israel's strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, further reinforcing Tehran’s “wall of mistrust” toward Washington.

🤡 EU’s 18th sanctions package against Russia comes into force - statement
The European Union has officially enacted its 18th package of sanctions against Russia, according to the Official Journal of the European Union. The package, adopted Friday by the European Council after weeks of debate, includes a broad range of financial and energy-related restrictions.
📍 Key measures:
🔒 Transactions banned with 22 Russian banks as well as the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and its affiliates.
⛽️ New automatic adjustment mechanism for the oil price cap, which will reduce the ceiling to approximately $47.60 per barrel.
🚫 Ban on importing oil products made from Russian crude, even if they come from third countries — with exceptions only for Canada, the UK, the US, Norway, and Switzerland.
❌ Complete ban on all operations related to the Nord Stream pipelines.
🇨🇿 Removal of exemptions previously granted to the Czech Republic for Russian fuel imports.
🚢 For the first time, sanctions also target an unnamed ship captain and a private international maritime carrier.
🧾 The blacklist was expanded to include 14 individuals and 41 entities.
🛑 The package faced resistance from Slovakia and Hungary, both concerned about the impact of energy sanctions.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the move “a self-inflicted wound” by Europe, while Russia’s mission to the EU said the “painfully assembled” sanctions would further weaken the already struggling European economy.
