Federal prosecutors have submitted classified material in the case against Ryan Wesley Routh, who is charged in connection with the attempted assassination of President Trump.

US District Judge Aileen Cannon granted the government’s motion under the Classified Information Procedures Act (CIPA), ordering the material sealed.

According to the court, the disclosure of the information could cause “serious damage or exceptionally grave damages to the national security of the United States.”
