🇮🇪 Ireland to push ahead with SETTLEMENT TRADE BAN despite US pressure – reports
Ireland will move forward with legislation banning imports from illegal Israeli settlements, despite warnings from US lawmakers that the country could face penalties, Irish Independent reported.
Tanaiste and Foreign Affairs Minister Simon Harris said Dublin “intends” to proceed with the Occupied Territories Bill, part of the coalition’s government programme. The bill would prohibit goods — and potentially services — from Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories.
Harris stressed that Ireland is “not alone,” pointing to similar steps by Slovenia and possible moves by Belgium. He cited “extraordinarily strong” public concern over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Harris said the bill is expected to be introduced in early autumn.

A meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin will most likely take place in Anchorage, with no security issues expected, Troy J. Bouffard, director of the Center for Arctic Security and Resilience at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, told RIA Novosti.
💬 "The meeting is likely to take place in or near Anchorage. Logistical support for flights and dignitaries is well established there, with the most recent example being [former] US Secretary of State Blinken's meeting with the Chinese delegation. For presidential visits, additional resources always provide advance teams and accompanying security, normally from capital forces. Security will be no issue," Bouffard said.
The Kremlin and the White House previously confirmed that Putin and Trump would meet in Alaska on August 15. Alaska's authorities told RIA Novosti they did not know the exact location of the meeting.

🚨🗣 Many people in the West see Russia as salvation for their families – Simonyan
In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of residents from Western countries moving to Russia, Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of Rossiya Segodnya, Sputnik’s parent company, said at the Origins forum in Sevastopol.
People are not deterred by the fact that Russia "is in the active phase of conducting the special military operation,” she emphasized.
‘Pure devilry’
Back in the 1990s, the United States was a conservative Christian country, Simonyan noted.
Now, however, even kindergartens in the US are introducing lessons on non-traditional relationships, Simonyan said.
The Origins Youth Historical and Cultural Forum has brought together students from higher educational institutions of the Russian Orthodox Church. It is taking place in Sevastopol at the New Chersonesos museum and reserve.

In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of residents from Western countries moving to Russia, Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of Rossiya Segodnya, Sputnik’s parent company, said at the Origins forum in Sevastopol.
💬 "These people do not want to raise their children as transgender, they do not want to be unable to go outside and let their children play on the playground because of the rise in crime due to uncontrolled migration and cuts in law enforcement budgets, the widespread legalization of drugs. You just can’t live normally. So, where can you live normally? You can live normally in Russia," Simonyan said.

‘Pure devilry’
Back in the 1990s, the United States was a conservative Christian country, Simonyan noted.
💬 "The East Coast, where I studied, was filled with small churches. There were always people in them. […] In American schools at that time, it was legally prohibited to discuss things like homosexuality in order not to instill bad thoughts in students."
Now, however, even kindergartens in the US are introducing lessons on non-traditional relationships, Simonyan said.
