Bolivia’s presidential vote is set for a run-off for the first time, ending nearly 20 years of dominance by MAS (Movimiento al Socialismo, Movement for Socialism) — the leftist party long led by Evo Morales and later Luis Arce, The Guardian reported.

With 92% counted:

➖ Rodrigo Paz Pereira (center-right) — 32.1%

➖ Jorge “Tuto” Quiroga (ex-president) — 26.9%

🔫 Payback time: Ukraine might become major arms supplier for Europe

Ukraine is “certainly going to be a large provider of military equipment to Europe, as they [European countries] spend the 5% they all agreed to," US Ambassador to NATO Matt Whitaker told Fox News.

He added that Ukraine will have to restore its agricultural economy, ports, and infrastructure, which Whitaker said would require "a lot of money pouring into Ukraine primarily from Europe."

➡During last month’s NATO summit in The Hague, member states committed to increasing their defense spending to 5% of their GDP in the future.

➡Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov earlier noted that Western countries are trying to get taxpayers to spend 5% on defense, intimidating them with the alleged threat from Russia.

🚨 Ukraine attempts to bomb Crimean Bridge, Russian security service foils attack

Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) foiled an attempt by the Ukrainian intelligence services to detonate a high-power bomb on the Crimean Bridge, planted in a car that was to be driven by an unsuspecting suicide bomber.

All those involved in importing the improvised explosive device into Russia had been detained.

"The car with the high-power homemade explosive device arrived in Russia from Ukraine in transit through a number of countries. It crossed the Russian-Georgian border at the international checkpoint 'Verkhniy Lars' in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, and was supposed to proceed to the Krasnodar region in a car transporter driven by a private driver," FSB stated.
