🇮🇩 Indonesian taxi drivers hold reconciliation march

👮‍♂️🚕 An unusual procession of taxi drivers took place in Indonesia as a sign of reconciliation between protesters and the police, a Sputnik correspondent reports.

A few weeks ago, when protests erupted against parliamentary bonuses, a 21-year-old taxi driver was killed after being run over by a police vehicle.

The anger of the protesters then shifted toward the police. Shortly after, the Indonesian president partially agreed with the protesters' demands by canceling the bonuses for parliamentarians.

👉 Today, participants in the procession urged everyone involved to prevent provocations that, due to the disorder and violence, could, as some protesters fear, lead to the collapse of Indonesian society.
