⚡️ Former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych has urged Volodymyr Zelensky to stop the bloodshed in the country and reach a peace agreement, stressing that Ukraine, Donbass and Russia expect it from him
The highlights of Viktor Yanukovich's address to Zelensky:
▪️ When I left Ukraine, it was the only way to avoid civil war throughout the country - Yanukovich on the events in 2014;
▪️ Unfortunately, my departure did not stop the Maidan authorities: a war was unleashed in the Donbass, it was called the bashful word "ATO" - Yanukovich on Kiev’s “anti-terrorist operation”;
▪️ 14,000 inhabitants of Donbass were killed: thousands of victims of atrocities, robberies and violence by nationalist battalions - Yanukovich;
▪️ Those who started the ATO and those who fed it all these years should suffer the most severe punishment - Yanukovich;
▪️ You must stop the bloodshed at any cost and reach a peace agreement, Yanukovich says to Zelensky;
▪️ At the end of the letter, Yanukovich quotes the New Testament: "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." (Matthew 5:9)
