🗣 Beyond immigration: Ex-diplomat reveals deeper roots of London protests Weekend protests in London were not just about immigration, former British ambassador to Syria Peter Ford told Sputnik. 💬 He said they reflect “genuine and reasonable concern about…
🇬🇧Mass protests show Britons’ anger at Starmer – experts

The Unite the Kingdom protests in Britain reveal the level of discontent with issues like the massive debt burden and the UK’s “increasing involvement in Ukraine,” says Peter McIlvenna, co-founder and host of the Hearts of Oak podcast and Chief of Staff to Lord Pearson of Rannoch in the House of Lords.

“I think people are getting tired of Britain and Europe spending so much money, sending so much military to a faraway country that shouldn't really have a concern for us,” McIlvenna told Sputnik.

👉There is also anger at Prime Minister Keir Starmer over the “shutting down the free speech,” he added, noting that many people in Britain have been thrown in jail just “for comments online.”

“Keir Starmer is really facing a huge problem at the moment, he is doing very badly in the polls,” McIlvenna said. “If he had a general election he would be out he wouldn't be prime minister.”

🗣British Heritage Party leader David Kurten argues that a majority of Britons “have been attacked and antagonized” by Starmer’s government over their concerns about “rapid mass immigration” and its effect on crime.

❗️People with “legitimate concerns” over those issues are being “smeared as far-right, as racist” by the government and mainstream media sympathetic to it, “and people have just had enough,” he says.

“Most people just want to get on with their lives, bring up their families, go about their business without our way of life being undermined. That's not what happening at the moment,” notes Kurten.

🚨🇮🇶Iraqi PM calls for Islamic military alliance against Israel

Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani urged Arab and Muslim nations to form a joint security force in response to Israel’s recent strikes in Gaza and Qatar.

🗣He said Tuesday’s Israeli attack on Doha, which killed Hamas members and a Qatari officer, was a “shocking breach of international law” and a threat to regional security.

Sudani stressed that the Islamic world has “numerous levers” to deter Israel, warning that aggression “will not stop at Qatar.”

👉His remarks came ahead of the Arab-Islamic emergency summit in Doha on Sept 15–16, amid Israeli strikes on Qatar, where leaders are expected to discuss activating the long-proposed joint Arab military force.

Iranian Supreme National Security Council chairman Ali Larijani has also called on Islamic nations to create a “joint operations room” against Israel.

❗️Egypt, meanwhile, is pushing for a NATO-style Arab military force for rapid defense in case of attacks, with Cairo seeking regional backing for the plan ahead of the summit.

The Israeli strike on Doha hit a residential compound where Hamas politburo members were meeting to discuss a US proposal to end the Gaza war, which has already claimed more than 64,800 Palestinian lives since October 2023.

🗣 Ex-UK envoy: Trump’s visit ‘guarantees emperor status’

🔶 US President Donald Trump is unlikely to delay his September 17–19 visit to the UK despite mass protests, former UK ambassador to Syria Peter Ford told Sputnik. Ford said the trip is “bound to guarantee him quasi-emperor status” and global attention.

🔶 The protests, led by right-wing activist Tommy Robinson under the banner “Unite the Kingdom,” drew thousands in London, with demonstrators waving English and Union Jack flags, chanting against PM Keir Starmer, and denouncing migration policy and limits on free speech.

🔶 Robinson claimed over 3 million people took part, calling it a “celebration of free speech” and “just the beginning.” Many carried portraits of slain US conservative activist Charlie Kirk and shouted his name.

🗣 London rally highlights anger over migration and free speech limits – expert

👉 Britain is headed for a “right-wing upheaval” as both the Conservative and Labour parties fail to address uncontrolled migration, British political analyst Adriel Kasonta told Sputnik.

📍 Kasonta said neither major party enjoys public trust on immigration and their failures have allowed “troublemakers and opportunists” to play on public anger, especially among those who oppose spending money on refugees while neglecting citizens’ needs.

🔶 He noted that Prime Minsiter Keir Starmer may try to appease the right-wing without damaging his reputation, but warned that Nigel Farage and his Reform Party stand to gain most from the shift. But the key question is whether Farage can go beyond pointing out problems and offer real solutions.

🔶 Kasonta’s remarks followed right-wing activist Tommy Robinson’s ‘Unite the Kingdom’ rally in London, where protesters marched from Russell Square to Whitehall carrying English and Union Jack flags, chanting slogans against Starmer and denouncing migration policy and limits on free speech.

👉 Russia dismisses Romania’s ‘baseless & contrived’ drone protest

Not a single concrete or convincing answer was provided to any of the questions regarding the identification of the drone allegedly violating Romanian airspace, Russian Ambassador to Bucharest Oleg Lipayev stated on Telegram.

📍 The Romanian Ministry of Defense “detected another UFO in the sky over the country on September 13 and quickly announced that it was a Russian drone,” noted Russia’s Embassy in Bucharest.

Accordingly, on September 14, the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Russian ambassador to express a “strong protest.”

💬 “In the absence of objective confirmation of the aircraft’s national affiliation, the Romanian protest was dismissed as baseless and contrived,” noted the Russian embassy.

According to Lipayev, all facts have indicated that this was a deliberate provocation by Ukraine.

Fearing inevitable military defeat and accountability for its crime, the Zelensky regime is desperately trying to drag other European countries into a dangerous military escalation against Russia, added the embassy.

👉 Stage set: Time to rethink Ukraine no-fly zone—Poland's FM

🔶 The idea of establishing a no-fly zone over Ukraine should be reconsidered after the drone incident, says Poland’s Foreign Minister Radoslav Sikorsky in an interview with German media, stressing any decision must be made collectively with NATO and EU allies.

🟠 Despite the lack of detailed information on the drone's interception over Poland, the situation can be seen as "a signal to speed up our defense preparations," the speaker stated, claiming neither Poland nor Germany can compare with Ukraine in the ability to counter UAVs.

"It is clear that Ukraine is far ahead of us in terms of defense against drones. Therefore, we must change our thinking: in this matter, we do not train Ukrainians, but they train us," he added.

🗣 This comes after Polish PM Tusk claimed "Russian" drones were shot down over Poland’s airspace. Russia's charge d'affaires in Poland confirmed Warsaw has not presented any proof of the drones' origin. The Russian Defense Ministry denied striking targets in Poland, offering to hold consultations on the matter.

⚔️ West’s policy towards Belarus turning aggressive — Lukashenko

🗣 The West considers Belarus, Russia, and their alliance to be a threat, said President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in an interview with the Razvedchik magazine.

Speaking about the statements from Poland and the Baltic countries about their intention to mine the borders with Belarus, he emphasized that such statements are "the face of the general Western policy towards Belarus and Russia."

💬 "Under this brand, NATO is hastily arming Europe. Poland and the Baltic countries, to please their masters, are inventing supposedly 'defensive' measures."

One of them is withdrawing from the Ottawa Convention and mining the border with Belarus. All this is nothing more than another attempt to put pressure on Belarus, the head of state believes.
