The Pentagon’s inspector-general has finished a detailed review of US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s use of the Signal messenger app to discuss military operations in Yemen, CNN reported, quoting un-named ‘people familiar with the matter’.

While the reviews results remain unknown, Hegseth has the right of reply the findings before the final draft is published.

📢 The final report "will likely be made public," the news channel added.

👉 Although Hegseth denied the accusations, he shared details on the US operation against Yemen — including timing and the forces used — in two Signal group chats with individuals without security clearance, including his wife, brother, personal lawyer and Atlantic website editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg — who broke the story.

🚨 NASA fails to deliver Cygnus XL on time

NASA admitted the Cygnus XL cargo ship won’t reach the ISS as planned after its main engine shut down prematurely during two orbit burns.

Originally scheduled to dock on Sept. 17, the spacecraft’s arrival is now delayed indefinitely while controllers “evaluate an alternate burn plan.”

Cygnus XL, launched Sept. 14 on a SpaceX Falcon 9, carries 11,000 pounds of supplies, including materials for pharmaceutical research.

⚠️☢️ Shelling near Zaporozhye Nuclear Plant – IAEA

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) says its team at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant hears shelling and sees black smoke rising from three nearby sites.

According to the IAEA, plant staff reported that several shells struck the area outside the facility.

📍 The Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant is located on the left bank of the Dnepr River, near the city of Energodar.

It is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe in terms of the number of reactors and installed capacity.

In October 2022, it became the property of Russia. The plant has repeatedly been targeted by the Ukrainian armed forces since then.

🇲🇩 Lift all media bans in Moldova - Ex-President Voronin

Former Moldovan president and head of the Communist Party, Vladimir Voronin, told Sputnik that after the September 28 parliamentary elections, lawmakers must restore the 2000 constitution, form a capable cabinet, and lift restrictions on the media.

💬 “[The new parliament must start with] putting the constitution in order. Return to the 2000 constitution and put everything in place… We need to form a capable cabinet of ministers. First, we need to look at how many ministers we need. Belarus, which provides us with milk, fruits, and vegetables, has nine ministers, while we have 16,” Voronin said.

He stressed that parliament’s structure should be revised, with commissions led by those who have real management experience.

💬 “We need to remove all the restrictions that they have imposed on the work of media resources over the years. All the restrictions. Remove all the bans from all the channels that they have closed. We need to give people air, we need to give them freedom, eyes, ears, so that they can hear, understand what is happening in the country,” Voronin added.

He also predicted that the elections could be followed by mass anti-government protests.
