✍️ “The Chisinau government wants to join the EU and is busy sucking up to its future overlords by harassing the Moldovan Orthodox Church, which, though autonomous, is mostly tied to the values and traditions of Russia rather than the liberal West,” James Delingpole, a columnist whose work has appeared in half-a-dozen mainstream UK papers, wrote in a recent Spectator op-ed.

Speaking to a monk, Delingpole discovered that Moldovan priests are being harassed at airports, while others are beaten, and church buildings seized.

"Moldovan priests who won’t support gay marriage, LGBT parades or abortion – almost all of them reflecting the view of their parishioners – are monitored and tailed," the journalist added.

❓ Asking whether Britons “really want to be siding with the EU progressives on this one,” Delingpole stressed that “just because the Russkies are supporting them doesn’t mean they are wrong.”

🚨 Germany rewrites laws for domestic military activation

Interior Minister Dobrindt announced a plan to overhaul aviation law, which would formally authorize the Bundeswehr to shoot down drones over German soil in the event of a "hybrid threat."

Germany's constitution prohibits the Bundeswehr from performing routine domestic security tasks except in cases of disaster relief.

Dobrindt said the amendments are due to be presented to parliament this autumn.
