⚡⚡ Russian Defense Ministry: On the night of 9 March, about 80 tonnes of ammonia were delivered by Ukrainian nationalists to the village of Zolochev northwest of Kharkov.
Residents said the nationalists taught them what to do in case of a chemical attack. This may indicate the preparation of a provocation using toxic substances to accuse Russia of allegedly using chemical weapons, the Russian Defence Ministry says.

McDonald's 🍟 & Starbucks🧋are closed for Russian citizens, but are still open in Guantanamo Bay (those double standards, huh)
The Guantanamo military base itself is not that different from an ordinary town, despite indefinite detention without trial and the reported torture of prisoners. It has its own shopping centers, cinemas, golf courses and churches and, of course, McDonald’s and Starbucks also operate there.
The base in Cuba became world famous after George W. Bush unleashed the "war on terror" in Iraq and Afghanistan. The prosecution of detainees there has been stalled for years amid disputes over the legal basis for such trials and reports of torture practiced there.
"Guantanamo Bay is like hell on Earth," said Somali Mohamed Saleban Bare, who spent 8 years in Guantanamo without being told what he was guilty of.

📝 White House reporters’ revolt after Psaki briefing ends early
The White House press briefing ended early after one final shouted question about whether the US intended to get oil from Venezuela.
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro announced on public TV a ‘vigorous reactivation’ of discussions with the country’s opposition, describing the meeting as “respectful, cordial, very diplomatic.” This came on the heels of the revelation that a high-level US delegation had flown to Caracas over the weekend.
The two countries have had no formal diplomatic relations since January 2019, when the US attempted to overthrow the government of President Nicolas Maduro. After the unsuccessful coup attempt, Washington slapped crushing sanctions on the Latin American nation, which boasts the world’s largest proven oil reserves.

Vasinskyi, a Ukrainian national, was taken into custody in Poland before being extradited to the US on March 3, the release added.

🇺🇸😅 Lynn Ballard, a South Carolina councilman, was spotted wearing a t-shirt with the Confederate flag on it at a community event for Black and Hispanic kids (definitely not the best choice of outfit).
The man is now facing angry calls to resign, though he claims he had no idea what he was wearing at the time.
“I didn’t even know there was a damn Confederate flag on there,” Ballard told media. “The shirt says ‘Used but not used up’ and it shows a guy restoring an old motorcycle."
Well, maybe he just picked the first thing when he opened the closet...
