❗️BREAKING: Senate Republicans filibuster bill on creating commission to investigate 6 January Capitol riot
US Senators have blocked consideration of a bill designed to create a bipartisan 10-member commission to investigate the events that took place in Washington on 6 January.
Only 54 Senators supported the motion, with 35 objecting to it. However, it needs to gather the support of at least 60 members of the upper chamber of Congress to be passed.

🗣 "So, it's interesting with Florida. Like the media at the beginning of the pandemic said Florida's bad. And I think it's because they want to damage former President Donald Trump in Florida. They want to damage me. So, they just kept saying it was bad. And even though the facts didn't say it, like literally last April, they're saying Florida is doing worse than New York. New York was like 10 times worse." said @RonDeSantisChannel

👨👩👦👦 It seems not even cartoons can be spared... Betty DeVille, the mother of twins Phil and Lil in the 1990s kids hit animated show “Rugrats”, is now deprived of a husband and father for her kids, as she has been rewritten as an open and nonbinary lesbian in the upcoming Paramount + revamp.
Betty had a husband in the original show - even if he was a weakling who would let her wear the pants in the relationship. But Howard Deville appears to have been written off, and Betty will now be dating other women instead

🗣 “We need to make sure that our kids recognize that this country is moving toward a more perfect union, that we should teach the exceptionalism of our nation and how people can live together and work together to make a greater nation, and to not teach things that inherently divide or pit either Americans against Americans or people groups against people groups,” the Republican governor said.

😁 Two peas in a pod. It turns out that neither the president nor his vice president are very skilled at telling jokes.
Vice President Kamala Harris joked about green electricity during her commencement speech at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis on Friday.
🗣 "Just ask any Marine today, would she rather carry 20 pounds of batteries or a rolled-up solar panel, and I am positive she will tell you a solar panel, and so would he," she said, before laughing.

Hillary Clinton has found herself in hot water after tweeting that the rioters killed a Capitol police officer on 6 January.
People were quick to remind her that, among the five people who died that day, only one was actually killed: a protester was shot in the neck by one of the police officers defending lawmakers.
Clinton, apparently, was referring to Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick, who died of a “devastating form of stroke”.
Or maybe she confused the January riot with another attack on the Capitol on 2 April? 🤔

Will somebody tell Joe Biden to not go off noscript ever again?
During his speech at a military base in Virginia, the president for some reason started to talk about the daughter of a veteran in the audience.
“I love those barrettes in your hair", he says. “Man I’ll tell you what, look at her, she looks like she's 19 years old sitting there like a little lady with her legs crossed”.

💵 Is a "Plandemic" coming?
Joe Biden unveiled his $6 trillion budget proposal for fiscal year 2022, with $1.52 trillion for the military and domestic programmes and $4.5 trillion for infrastructure and social initiatives.
The plan reflects Biden’s "shifting priorities toward confronting China and Russia" and reducing emphasis on the wars in Afghanistan and in the Middle East, according to US observers.
🧐 However, with such a large increase in spending, what will the cost be in terms of its impact on the public debt?
