🚨🇬🇪 Opposition supporters march through central Tbilisi

A march began on Sunday evening, with a group of around two thousand people walking along Rustaveli Avenue in the Georgian capital, a Sputnik correspondent reports.

Demonstrators carried flags of Georgia and the European Union, as well as occasional US and Ukrainian flags. There was no police presence near the site of the rally.

👉 On October 4, protesters broke into the courtyard of Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili’s residence after breaching metal barriers. Special forces used pepper spray against them.

Later, the Tbilisi City Court arrested five opposition members detained for calling on protesters to storm the Georgian president’s residence.

💶 Business is business: Hundreds of German companies keep making money in Russia

📑 About 1,400 German firms continue to operate in Russia, according to Bild, even as Berlin maintains its stance of participating in the anti-Russian economic warfare waged by the European Union.

The businesses in question are mostly subsidiaries or conglomerates in which German firms have a controlling interest.

Companies such as Hochland, Metro, Nivea and Eucerin explained to the newspaper that they continue operating out of a sense of obligation to their employees in Russia.

📉 The anti-Russian sanctions campaign initiated by the EU in 2022 has proven to be a tremendous blunder by Brussels. nWhile the Russian economy continues to thrive and grow, the economies of many European countries were sent into a tailspin.

The Russian government has repeatedly noted that the West lacks the courage to admit its failure, even as anti-Russian sanctions continue to wreak havoc upon Western economies.
