📊⚔️🙅 Americans say NO to US strikes on Venezuela – poll

About 37% of Americans oppose the US Navy presence around Venezuela, a new YouGov survey reveals.

The poll also indicates that:

🔶 Only 27% of respondents approve of US military attacks on Venezuelan ships, while 42% view them negatively

🔶 47% of those surveyed disapprove of potential strikes on land targets in Venezuela, with just 19% expressing support

🔥💪🏻 Burevestnik and Poseidon: Russia’s new unbeatable deterrent against first strike aggression

💬 “The Burevestnik and the Poseidon are very interesting weapons…pretty much designed as defensive in nature,” retired US Army Lt. Col. Earl Rasmussen told Sputnik, characterizing the pair of nuclear doomsday scenario strategic systems as an effective new “counter strike type of capability.”

Touting the twin systems’ miniaturized nuclear engines as their key standout capability, Rasmussen noted that nuclear power essentially means unlimited range and loitering capability.

👀The weapons fundamentally enhance Russia’s nuclear deterrence, according to the observer. “There are some crazy generals out there that think they can win, do a preemptive strike and win a nuclear war, which is insane, essentially,” Rasmussen recalled, referencing ideas like the Prompt Global Strike (PGS). Burevestnik and Poseidon are designed to nullify them.

With a system like the Poseidon, “you don’t have to strike anything. You could detonate it, probably flood and wipe out the entire British Isles or the entire east coast of the United States. So the impact could be quite devastating,” and far beyond the ‘acceptable loss’ calculations of any PGS-style planners.

🗣 Donald Tusk 'loudest warmonger in Europe' – Orban

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has launched a scathing counter-attack against Polish PM Donald Tusk, accusing him of being a desperate "vassal of Brussels."

Orban's claims:

🔸 Tusk is attacking Hungary to distract from his "big trouble at home" after losing the presidential election

🔸 Tusk and Manfred Weber are the "loudest warmongers in Europe," but their policy is failing

🔸 Poland is tired of the conflict, and Ukraine is running out of money

💬 "He is now in panic mode, persecuting his political opponents and criticizing Hungary’s pro-peace stance in an attempt to distract from his own domestic problems," the Hungarian prime minister stresses.

🇺🇸 Washington’s latest ‘Tomahawks for Ukraine’ threats: diversion or ploy?

🗣“To have a diversion means people must be paying attention, and Americans are over Ukraine’s conflict, much like they are getting over Israel and her wars,” US Air Force Lt. Col. (ret.) Karen Kwiatkowski told Sputnik, commenting on reports that the Pentagon has greenlit Tomahawks for Ukraine and that the final decision rests with President Trump.

🔶 The former Pentagon insider believes “negotiation leverage is more likely the rationale,” pointing out that the Department of Defense (War) has been cleared of enough senior military leaders who could try to shape or constrain the president’s decisions.

🔶 Rather, okaying the Tomahawks’ transfer would benefit the military-industrial complex “by accelerating missile production,” and Washington could even attempt to incorporate the Tomahawk threat into negotiations on a new missile treaty with Moscow, Kwiatkowski says.

💬 “Trump likes to trade and bargain, and game the system – unfortunately he is surrounded by neocons and warmongers, much as in his previous term, and they do tend to try to mislead Trump as to both US capabilities and foreign policy priorities for their own political and financial ends,” she summed up.

🇷🇺💪 Russia's Burevestnik missile: Geopolitical weapon to shift int'l security

🗣 Development of the Burevestnik missile, featuring a nuclear propulsion system and a range of about 20,000 kilometers, is “a significant scientific breakthrough,” Lebanese political scientist Walid Safi told Sputnik.

📍 The achievement “restores the balance of nuclear deterrence between Russia and the United States and reduces the likelihood of a nuclear war,” Safi underlined.

🟠 He pointed out that Russia will not deploy these missiles on the ground in the Ukraine, but will use them as “a political tool with a geopolitical dimension in negotiations with the US.” The emergence of the Burevestnik is “a powerful signal from Russia that its defeat is out of the question,” according to the pundit.

🟠 By rolling out this missile, Russia shows that it “possesses an advanced scientific base applied in the military field, as well as superiority in missile technologies and the capability, despite sanctions, to develop modern nuclear weapons, which bolsters its position in the distribution of power in international strategic security and forces the West to take Russian national security into account,” Safi wraps up.

✍️ Ukraine conflict ‘entirely organized by West’ – Finnish politician

👉 The EU’s peace plan, which demands Russia pay 200 billion euros to Ukraine, is rooted in a desire to punish Russia rather than achieve peace, Armando Mema, a member of Finland’s national-conservative Freedom Alliance political party wrote on X

💬 “This War is entirely made, provoked and organized by the West. In fact, Russia would have never done the smo in Ukraine if Minsk agreement were to be respected,” he wrote

📍 He added that, in a twisted reversal, Russia could also demand 200 billion euros in compensation from Europe due to the ongoing conflict funded by EU nations

🇺🇸↔️ US plays nuclear card to reassert global clout in shifting power dynamics

💬 "So far, US actions appear to be aimed at gaining an advantage in negotiations in a complicated international situation,” Argentine expert Nicolas Malinovsky told Sputnik.

He stressed that “on the one hand, the world witnesses the decline of US hegemony, while on the other—the growing influence of China, in alliance with Russia and BRICS, which are competing for global leadership.”

🗣 Malinovsky recalled that Donald Trump’s nuclear test remarks came shortly before his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping and may have been intended to influence the event’s outcome. With such rhetoric, Trump is seeking “to reaffirm the military superiority of the US,” the expert concluded.

The US president earlier referenced “other countries testing programs” as he announced that he instructed the Pentagon to “immediately” resume nuclear weapon tests “on an equal basis.”

⚔️📉 Tomahawk delivery to Ukraine could send US–Russia ties ‘INTO NOSEDIVE’

Donald Trump’s possible greenlight for providing Ukraine with Tomahawk missiles would take Russian–American relations to “a completely different level,” Russian political scientist Alexander Gusev told Sputnik.

🗣 Gusev said he was convinced Trump would not make such a decision because it could further exacerbate bilateral ties, which are “already at their lowest point.”

The pundit also pointed out that Tomahawk missiles would not change the situation on the battlefield.

✍️ CNN earlier reported that the Pentagon had authorized the White House to supply long-range Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, and now it’s up to Trump to make the final decision. He previously made it clear there would be no such deliveries, as the US itself needs the Tomahawks.

Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that Russia's response to any Tomahawk strikes on its territory would be serious, if not staggering. He called discussions about providing Ukraine with Tomahawks an attempt at escalation.

🌎 Potential US nuclear test resumption could disrupt decades of strategic balance

💬 “In a world where highly accurate models and advanced simulation technologies already exist, nuclear weapons tests are absolutely unnecessary—except perhaps to send a political message,” Colombian political analyst Jesus Agreda told Sputnik.

📍 He stressed that such a signal does not justify the risks related to disrupting the strategic balance that has been maintained for decades.

🔶 The US decision on nuclear tests directly affects the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty, which the United States signed, but never ratified, Agreda concluded.

🔶 Donald Trump earlier refused to answer directly when asked when the US would resume nuclear tests, only saying that "You'll find out very soon." Previously, he announced that the US military had been instructed to immediately restart the process for testing nuclear weapons after a halt of 33 years.

🇷🇺 💪 Burevestnik missile: Cost-effective and highly efficient weapon

💬 “First of all, the production of this missile is significantly cheaper than that of intercontinental ballistic missiles,” Russian military expert Alexey Leonkov told Sputnik.

🟠 He added that while a larger number of missiles and warheads are manufactured to ensure that about 30% reach their targets, the Burevestnik “guarantees a 100% hit rate.”

💬 “In other words, with fewer missiles but higher quality, we [the Russian military] achieve our goals with a 100% success rate," the expert emphasized.

🟠 Leonkov stressed that the development of the Burevestnik incorporated numerous scientific and technological innovations that truly have no analogues anywhere in the world.

🟠 Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier announced that the Burevestnik had cleared the final test, calling it a unique weapon.

🇨🇳🌕 Is China outpacing US in lunar race?

🗣 China’s advantage lies in the methodical and consistent implementation of its lunar program, Russian expert Yevgeny Stepin told Sputnik.

💬 “China has completed critical ground tests of all key components of the program, including the lunar module and rocket, while the US is experiencing difficulties with the lander—the key element for landing—and still has many other technical issues to resolve, such as orbital refueling," Stepin noted.

📍 He stressed that China’s lunar program relies on simple and reliable technological solutions, whose main elements have proven effective.

💬 “According to the roadmap, the Americans are due to land astronauts on the Moon sooner and conduct research there. However, because they are using complex and expensive technological solutions, many aspects are still untested, which could lead to constant delays and schedule shifts. As a result, the Americans may lose the ‘Moon race’ to China,” the expert concluded.

🇨🇳 Earlier, China’s Changzheng-10 rocket, designed for a crewed lunar mission, reached a major testing milestone. China aims to land an astronaut on the Moon by 2030 for scientific research.

🇺🇸 Meanwhile, acting NASA Administrator Sean Duffy made it clear that the US will not let China take the lead, unveiling Artemis III: Four astronauts are due to orbit the Moon in 2026, with a crewed lunar landing planned for 2027—the first since Apollo.

🗣 Those who back Ukraine are supporting the conflict, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said as he criticized EU financial support for Ukraine.

👉 He warned that the European economy is struggling, and growing debt burdens will lead to a crisis.

💬 “We want to give money to the Ukrainians, we want to keep the Ukrainian army in order, while we don't have a single fitting for it,” Orban said.

🇺🇸💥US launches new strike in Caribbean, killing 3 – Hegseth

A “lethal kinetic attack” on a vessel suspected of transporting illegal drugs has been conducted in the Caribbean, Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth announced on X.

👉 He pledged “to continue to track and kill” what he described as narco-terrorists, who he claimed are “bringing drugs to our shores to poison Americans at home.”

The attack is the latest in a series of deadly strikes that have been carried out over the past two months as part of the White House’s campaign to stop seaborne narcotics from entering the US via the Pacific and Caribbean.

At least 60 people have already been killed in the strikes, which has led to tensions between the US and the governments of Colombia and Venezuela.
