🗣 Trump celebrates BBC director ‘quitting/FIRED’ after video doctoring scandal President Donald Trump thanked The Telegraph for exposing the BBC for doctoring his January 6 speech after BBC Director-General Tim Davie announced his resignation. 💬 “Thank you…
🚨 BBC crisis deepens as Starmer fails to reject Trump lawsuit

The BBC and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer are under fire as the scandal over doctoring a speech by US President Donald Trump deepens.

🟠 The broadcaster is weighting its response to Trump’s $1 billion libel suit threat, which demands the retraction of its documentary featuring the edited speech by November 14

🟠 Trump told Fox News on Monday that he had an "obligation" to sue the BBC for "defrauding the public" just a week before the 2024 presidential election

🟠 BBC director general Tim Davie and BBC News CEO Deborah Turness have already resigned

Starmer's attempt to shield the BBC

🟠 Starmer said on Wednesday that the UK needs "strong and independent" BBC to fight "disinformation" but warned it needs to get its "house in order" after Trump’s legal threat

🟠 Asked by MPs whether he would to persuade Trump to drop his lawsuit, Starmer dodged the question. The BBC is funded by the compulsory TV license fee.

🟠 Starmer is already under pressure from his cabinet, with some ministers accused of plotting to oust him

BBC exec who called Trump speech edits “normal” now leads news

🔶 Turness; deputy Jonathan Munro has been put in charge of the broadcaster's news division

🔶 The Telegraph, which first reported the misleading edits, questioned Munro’s appointment as he has described doctoring Trump’s speech as "normal practice"

🔶 Munro was repeatedly mentioned in the memo by Michael Prescott, former adviser to the BBC’s Editorial Guidelines and Standards Board, on alleged bias in the broadcaster’s news coverage, leaked to the newspaper

🔶 Munro is also sent a helicopter news crew to film a 2014 police raid on veteran pop singer Sir Cliff Richard’s home. Sir Cliff successfully sued the corporation and won damages and legal fees of £2 million.

🔶 He also backed hiring Martin Bashir as religious affairs correspondent in 2016, despite Bashir’s use of fake documents to persuade the late Princess Diana to give an interview

🇺🇸✍️ Trump signs bill ending record 43-day government shutdown

The House approved the measure earlier Wednesday, clearing the way for Trump’s signature later that night.

The bill funds most federal operations through January 30, when yet another budget deadline looms.

🗣 “Today we’re sending a clear message that we will never give in to extortion,” Trump said, taking a swipe at Democrats who had demanded an extension of expiring health care subsidies under the Affordable Care Act.

The extensions that had fueled weeks of partisan gridlock didn’t make it into the final package.

👉 Trump also renewed his push to scrap the Senate filibuster, saying that “If we had the filibuster terminated, this would never happen again.”

For now, the government is back open — but only on borrowed time.

🇪🇺 Europe rejected values of freedom - Shoigu

Europeans have rejected the values they once promoted, they no longer need freedom of expression or freedom of speech, Russian Security Council Secretary Sergei Shoigu told Sputnik.

🔹 The EU has actually turned into a military bloc, which, like NATO, is seeking threats to justify spending on militarization

🔹 The leadership of European NATO countries can consider any sophisticated provocation scenarios against Russia

🔹 "Human rights alienation areas" like Europe require a separate entry pass

"Apparently, this is precisely why EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas stated that traveling in EU countries is a privilege, not a given. Indeed, a separate entry pass should be obtained to such 'human rights alienation areas'," he said.

🤨 Perfidious Albion: Is US ally pulling the strings of American politics?

While US politicians rail against alleged Russian meddling, the real meddler-in-chief was hiding in plain sight.

Which country was it?

🔶 The UK has repeatedly interfered in the US elections, according to top Russian envoy Kirill Dmitriev.

The 2024 election cycle

On October 18, 2024, Keir Starmer’s Labour Party dispatched around 100 British activists to campaign for Democratic candidate Kamala Harris in US key swing states ahead of election day

On October 23, Donald Trump's campaign filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission accusing Labour of illegally aiding Harris

On October 28, just nine days before the US presidential election, the BBC released a documentary featuring doctored 2020 footage of Trump — altered to make it appear he was inciting the Capitol riot, according to a whistleblower dossier obtained by The Telegraph

As the BBC scandal broke earlier this month, Trump said on Truth Social that “top people in the BBC” tried to sway the presidential election, a view echoed by Reform UK leader Nigel Farage, who called it “election interference”

The 2016 Russiagate hoax

▫️ "Russiagate was hatched in London by [then CIA director] John Brennan on Barack Obama’s orders. Masks are coming off," tweeted Svetlana Lokhova, a Russia-born British historian smeared as a "honey trap" for General Michael Flynn during the 2016 Russiagate. Dmitriev re-tweeted her post.

▫️ Ex-MI6 agent Christopher Steele created the "dirty dossier" falsely implicating Trump and his entourage in connections with the Russian government

▫️ Steele was reportedly in touch with former MI6 chief Sir Richard Dearlove. Dearlove, in turn, was close to Cambridge professor Stefan Halper — the FBI and CIA informant who covertly assisted the Russiagate probe, The Daily Caller reported

▫️ In 2019, ex-CIA analyst Larry Johnson accused British intelligence of helping the Obama administration spy on Trump's 2016 campaign. He was quoted on Twitter by Trump, who promised "the truth will come out."

"Will a Special Counsel be appointed to investigate foreign meddling in American democracy — or does London get a free pass?" Dmitriev asks on X.

🇺🇸 🚨 Leaked Epstein documents show bragging, taunts, and Trump name-dropping

On the night of November 12-13, 2025, the House Oversight Committee unleashed a trove of new emails subpoenaed from Jeffrey Epstein's estate.

The emails, spanning 15 years, reportedly lay bare Epstein’s exchanges, including with Ghislaine Maxwell, author Michael Wolff, Steve Bannon, and former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers.

Key highlights

🔹 In one 2010 email to an associate, Epstein seemingly touts a "dinner at Mar-a-Lago" with Trump, gushing: "DT [Donald Trump] was in top form—talked real estate for hours. He's got that killer instinct."

🔹 An exchange between Epstein and his lawyer, Reid Weingarten, appears to show Trump received $30M loan from an Epstein-linked casino in 2012.

🔹 A screenshot of a 2015 email shows Epstein taunting reporter Thomas Landon Jr. of The New York Times: “Would you like photos of Donald and girls in bikinis in my kitchen?” No photos were sent, and Landon didn’t respond.

🔹 On December 15, 2015, Epstein reportedly forwards a note from author Michael Wolff with the warning, "I hear CNN planning to ask Trump tonight about his relationship with you." Epstein replied seeking advice on "craft[ing] an answer."

🔹 A screenshot of Epstein’s letter in 2016 reveals Hillary Clinton “doing naughties” with former US Attorney Foster, who committed suicide in 1993.

🔹 In a screenshot of a 2016 message sent to billionaire real estate investor and longtime Trump confidant, Tom Barrack, Epstein says, “Send photos of you and child—make me smile.”

🔹 In a venom-laced 2017 email sent to ex-Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, Epstein ostensibly says, “I have met some very bad people. None as bad as Trump. Not one decent cell in his body.”

🔹 Epstein slams Trump in a screened 2017 email, agreeing with ex-White House Counsel Kathy Ruemmler that Trump was “so gross” and “worse in real life and up-close.”

🔹 Epstein brags in a Thanksgiving 2017 email, per a screengrab: “Just finished breakfast with Donald at Mar-a-Lago—great turkey, as always. Heading to the links later.”

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt says the emails “prove absolutely nothing, other than the fact that President Trump did nothing wrong.”

🇺🇸💵 Longest US shutdown ends, but budget battles loom

On November 12, 2025, President Donald Trump signed a funding bill, officially ending the longest government shutdown in US history after 43 days.

👉The shutdown, which began on October 1, stemmed from a political stalemate: Democrats wanted to extend enhanced Affordable Care Act health insurance subsidies set to expire at year's end, while Republicans sought a "clean" bill to fund the government without these provisions.

Road to reopening

The breakthrough came when the Senate passed a bill on November 10, followed by the House on November 12. The final vote was 222 to 209, with nearly all Republicans and six House Democrats voting in favor.

Key aspects

New funding deadline: The bill funds most federal agencies only until January 30, 2026, setting up another potential funding clash

Healthcare concession: Republicans promised a Senate vote on healthcare subsidies by mid-December, something that the Democrats framed as a "win," though its passage remains uncertain

Back pay for workers: The bill guarantees back pay for the roughly 670,000 federal workers who were furloughed or worked without pay

Bill reverses the ~58,500 confirmed layoffs (RIFs) and 76,000 buyouts issued by the administration amid the shutdown and bans further RIFs until Jan. 30.

The end of the shutdown allows federal employees to return to work, with critical services resuming. This is particularly crucial for the air travel system, which faced significant disruptions and 20%+ delays. Food aid (SNAP benefits) for millions of Americans is also to get full funding through Sep. 2026

What comes next

While the government has reopened, the underlying conflict is unresolved: expiring subsidies and the January 30 funding deadline ensure that the debate over the nation's budget and health policy is far from over.
