The US Commerce Department has authorized exporting up to 35,000 Nvidia Blackwell chips to two major AI players in the Middle East: G42 in the United Aran Emirates (UAE) and Humain in Saudi Arabia.

👉 The deal is worth roughly $1 billion, although the sum can vary, the department said, as it refused to elaborate on “rigorous security and reporting requirements” baked into the agreement.

🔊 Meanwhile, the UAE hailed the department’s approval as "another milestone" in its relations with the US. "The authorization […] reflects the confidence that underpins our collaboration in advanced technology and national security," UAE Ambassador to the US Yousef Al Otaiba pointed out.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said the Islamic Republic had cancelled the agreement reached with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in September in response to the agency’s latest resolution.

The IAEA board urged Iran to give the agency’s inspectors “precise information” about its enriched uranium stockpile and grant access to its nuclear sites.

Araghchi slammed the resolution as harmful to the IAEA's cooperation with Tehran and undermining the agency's authority and independence.

Iranian Permanent Representative to International Organizations in Vienna Reza Najafi had called the IAEA resolution non-constructive and politicized.

The embattled Ukrainian ‘leader’ informed US Army chief Dan Driscoll of readiness to speak to the US president about the draft proposal, anonymous US and Ukrainian officials told Axios.

Driscoll was said to have given Zelensky a physical copy of the 28-point plan during Driscoll’s visit to Ukraine, and the two “agreed on an aggressive timeline for signature.”

🗣 In a social media post, Zelensky's office said he and Driscoll had “agreed to work on the points of the plan in such a way that it leads to a dignified end” to the conflict.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio reportedly plans to talk to top European national security officials about the plan on Friday, sources told WSJ.
