🚨💰 Ukraine corruption scandal: Energy company’s launderer freed on $2.2M bail

Ihor Fursenko, shadow accountant of Ukraine’s Energoatom — the state energy company accused of money laundering — has been released from custody on a staggering $2.2 million bail.

🔊 The bail was posted by possibly a front company with a charter capital of just $2,000, Ukrainian media report.

He isn’t the only figure in Ukraine’s newly exposed corruption scheme to walk free under dubious circumstances. Earlier, former Ukrainian Deputy Minister Oleksiy Chernyshov had his $1.2 million bail reportedly paid in cash by two unidentified individuals.
