Arrivals and departures at Venezuela’s Simón Bolívar International Airport are continuing as normal, a Sputnik correspondent reported, despite US President Donald Trump having declared the country’s airspace "closed in its entirety."

According to the correspondent, the airport’s electronic boards show upcoming international arrivals from destinations including Bogotá, Panama City, Lima and Curaçao, and passengers continue to arrive in the country.

🚨🚔 Protesters clash with police in NYC, arrests made - reports

Protesters threw trash cans and other debris at law enforcement near a federal building in Lower Manhattan on Saturday, leading to multiple arrests, Fox News reported.

According to the NYPD, officers responded to Centre and Howard Streets, near the US General Services Administration building, amid demonstrations linked to ongoing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations in Chinatown.

📹 Video footage cited by Fox News showed protesters pushing large potted plants in front of ICE vehicles, throwing trash at officers, and moving barricades. Police said demonstrators were ordered several times to disperse but did not comply.

🚓 The NYPD told Fox News that several individuals were taken into custody. The total number of arrests has not yet been released.

🚨🇩🇪 Antifa protest in Germany turns violent, delays AfD youth conference – reports

A large demonstration in the German city of Giessen delayed the opening of a convention held by the youth wing of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, Fox News reported.

According to the outlet, between 25,000 and 30,000 protesters gathered near the venue, prompting the deployment of 6,000 police officers — the largest police contingent in the history of the state of Hesse.

Police told Fox News and the Associated Press that officers used pepper spray after stones were thrown at them, and water cannons were deployed to clear blockades that did not disperse when instructed. Authorities said 10–15 officers were slightly injured.

📹🇲🇽 Fireworks blast in northern Mexico leaves 3 dead, 6 injured – reports

An explosion linked to illegally stored fireworks in the town of Pesquería, in the Mexican state of Nuevo León, has left three people dead and six injured, local Civil Protection authorities said.

According to officials, two of the victims were found at the scene of the incident, while a third person died after being taken to hospital.

🚒 The blast caused significant material damage beyond the clandestine workshop: four houses were directly affected by the fire, and shock waves from the explosion damaged at least 20 nearby homes.

Local reports said multiple emergency services were deployed to control the situation, treat the injured and clear debris in the area.

🇰🇵🇷🇺 North Korean Air Force to receive new strategic assets — reports

North Korea’s leader Kim Jong-un has announced that the country’s Air Force will be equipped with new “strategic military assets” as part of efforts to strengthen its nuclear deterrence, KCNA reported.

The remarks were made during celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the Korean People’s Army Air Force at an airbase on the country’s east coast.

Kim Jong-un also praised the pilots and service members, saying the outcome of an air battle depends on “the spirit of the pilots, not the equipment,” and described the Air Force as the “first-born service” with strong ideological resolve.
