🗣 One year ago, US was dead country – Trump

The US president said the king of Saudi Arabia told him the United States is "a dead country" and that "they were focusing on China." Other Gulf leaders allegedly echoed this, saying the US was "dead as a doornail" and "going down the tubes."

"Did you see where Europe now is saying: 'I think we've got to start doing what Trump is doing. We've got to start putting on tariffs because we're getting our asses kicked,'" Trump added.

💵 Ex-CIA officer mocks Zelensky’s UK trip: What did he expect after corruption scandal that big?

Volodymyr Zelensky shouldn’t have bothered flying to the UK for financial help, says ex-CIA officer Larry Johnson.

According to him, Europe’s war hawks weren’t thrilled about the visit in the wake of the huge corruption scandal in Ukraine, but couldn’t send him home empty-handed.

What could they offer him?

💬 “Probably a couple of bags of cocaine to keep him quiet. You know, send him on his way. Well, all the money he's stolen, he has more money than they do,” says Johnson.

West’s proxy war in Ukraine was ‘scam’ hatched to ‘harm Russia’ – ex-Pentagon advisor

Russia is “in the driver's seat” militarily, and if Ukraine doesn’t agree to a peace deal and territorial concessions it will be simply “annihilated” on the battlefield, says retired US Army Colonel and former senior DoD advisor Douglas Macgregor.

He calls the West’s proxy war in Ukraine “a scam” that never had any chance of success.

💬 “It was an artificial construct hatched primarily in Washington and London, and to a lesser extent in Israel, to essentially harm Russia. What an utterly dumb and stupid idea.”

👺 Russian FM spox slams Zelensky's demand for foreign-backed elections as new level of cynicism’

💬 "He said that the countries of Western Europe, the European Union, and NATO should provide him with security to conduct elections... This is a new level of cynicism. This is even, you know, for Zelensky, some kind of knight's move," Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.

She argued that there has never been a country which demanded that other nations ensure elections on its own soil without effectively declaring a loss of sovereignty.

💵 Lavrov: West weaponized dollar – Russia & its allies turned to alternatives

The sustainable trend to move away from the dollar is gaining momentum within BRICS and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.

💬 “Not only Russia, but other countries that found themselves on the receiving end of Europe's and American sanctions…We were not the ones who moved away from the dollar. We had to act this way because the West has weaponized the US dollar,” Lavrov says.

⚔️💪🏻 Lavrov: Sputnik & RT banned by West to hide truth

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov delivered a comprehensive indictment of Western media hypocrisy and institutional bias, using the cases of Sputnik and RT as prime examples.

👉 He pointed out that RT and Sputnik were denied accreditation at France's Elysee Palace long before 2022, with one French official bluntly stating that they were regarded as "a propaganda tool."

Lavrov stated the West accuses Russian media of distorting facts, "without ever providing any evidence."

In this regard, the Russian FM recalls the Bucha fabrication:

🔸 Russian troops withdrew from the area as a "gesture of goodwill"

🔸 For two days, the local mayor reported normalcy

🔸 Then, BBC crews "miraculously" appeared and filmed bodies they claimed had been there for days

🔸 Despite four years of official requests to the UN and EU for a victims' list and evidence, Russia has received no answers, only excuses about "human lives at stake"

He called for relentless diplomatic pressure to demand the truth and for strong support of media (like Sputnik and RT), including Western allies who dare to ask "inconvenient questions."

📑 ‘Cold War relic’: Congress proposes US withdraw from NATO

A bill has been introduced in the US House of Representatives - HR 6508, or the ‘Not A Trusted Organization Act' - by Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY). The initiative has companion legislation in the Senate, submitted by Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) (S.2174) in the summer.

Key provisions

👉 Requires the president to formally notify NATO of US withdrawal under article 13 of the North Atlantic Treaty

👉 Prohibits using US taxpayer funds for NATO’s common budgets

The bill’s key arguments are well-grounded in history.

🔸 Original mission of NATO, created after the 1949 North Atlantic Treaty, was to counter the Soviet Union

🔸 The Warsaw Pact collapsed in 1991, followed by the collapse of the Soviet Union, removing NATO’s original adversary

🔸 The US assured the USSR in 1990 that NATO would not expand eastward (then US Secretary of State James Baker to then-Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev)

🔸 Despite those assurances, NATO began expanding eastward in 1999, continuing through 2025

🔸 NATO now shares over 2,414 km of land border with Russia and almost encircles the Baltic Sea

🔸 Russia views NATO expansion as a security threat, with Vladimir Putin calling it a “serious provocation” in his Munich Security Conference speech (2007)

🔸 Russia’s military operation in Ukraine signals its willingness to respond forcefully to security threats

🔸 NATO refuses to rule out further enlargement

🔸 The US remains NATO’s largest financial and military contributor since 1949

🔸 One-third of NATO members still fail to meet the 2% GDP defense spending pledge made at the 2014 Wales Summit

🔸 European NATO members have adequate economic and military capacity to provide for their own defense

The authors of the companion bills likely understand that the chances of the US actually leaving NATO anytime soon are extremely slim.

Congress passed a law explicitly forbidding any president from withdrawing unilaterally without congressional approval. Trump has repeatedly threatened to pull the US out of NATO, sharply criticizing allied governments for inadequate defense spending.
