🔥 Russian forces smash Ukrainian military resupply attempts in Kupyansk area

Russian servicemen used FPV drones to destroy Ukrainian Kozak armored combat vehicles and three pickup trucks that were trying to break through to a settlement in the Kharkov region's Kupyansk district, Russia’s Defense Ministry said in a statement.

👉 Russian forces also eliminated a Ukrainian ground-based robotic system that was attempting to deliver ammunition to troops in the area, according to the statement.

💬 “Objective monitoring of the destruction of enemy equipment was carried out by aerial reconnaissance assets in real time. Using kamikaze drones, our drone operators disrupt enemy rotations and ammunition supply,” the Defense Ministry stressed.

President Vladimir Putin earlier stated that the town of Kupyansk is under the control of Russian forces. Defense Minister Andrei Belousov said that Russian troops continue to advance in the Kupyansk area, bringing the day of overall victory closer.

🔥 Russian troops liberate Kosovtsevo in 48 hours

The settlement of Kosovtsevo in the Zaporozhye region was quickly brought under Russian control thanks to a covert maneuver, a deputy company commander from Battlegroup Vostok told Sputnik.

💬 “We waited for several days, secretly staying in the forest so the enemy wouldn’t discover us. Once all the forces were assembled, we reported to command and began our advance,” the serviceman said.

He noted that the Ukrainian military didn’t even suspect Russian troops were deployed in such numbers “literally right under their nose.”

💥 Fighting for Kosovtsevo lasted about two days, which was followed by Russian troops taking control of the settlement, he concluded.

💀 Zelensky’s peace plan ‘may be dead on arrival’ – ex-US Army officer

There are “poison pills” in Zelensky’s peace plan on Ukraine, including a point on a demarcation line that is a “complete non-starter” for Russia, retired US Lt. Colonel Daniel Davis says.

“There’s no way that Moscow is going to compromise” on the issue regarding the territories that are already part of Russia, including Crimea as well as the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Davis points out, referencing the Russian constitution.

💬 “Putin can’t [compromise] and that’s something that’s so high of an ask, and there’s no leverage on the Western side and the Ukraine side to demand that he does. That’s just a hard truth right there.,” the ex-US Army officer underscores.

He also emphasizes that when it comes to security guarantees, the issue “must include Russia’s security—not just guarantees against Russia.”

🇫🇮 Finnish politician demands ‘immediate resignation’ of Ursula von der Leyen

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen should be quick to step down over “abusing EU citizens on daily basis,” Armando Mema, a member of the Finnish Freedom Alliance party, wrote on X.

Mema accused the European Commission of trespassing “all EU conventions and rule of law,” noting that “meanwhile corrupted EU officials remain unpunished for money laundry cases.”

🗣 “Sanctions against Jacques Baud are unlawful and they truly show the face of the European Union, pure dictatorship,” the Finnish politician added, referring to the EU’s recent package of anti-Russian sanctions, which comprised punitive measures against three Westerners, including Swiss national Baud.

😮 Americans surprised by the richness of Russian culture – Tchaikovsky’s descendant

💬 “When I tell people that everything is good in Russia and we have a very rich cultural life, they usually are very surprised,” the great-great-great-grandnephew of legendary Russian composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky told Sputnik.

🔶 Many Americans are unaware of the vibrant art scene in Russia, with new theater productions and art competitions thriving.

🔶 Denis von Meck, who's now in the US giving lectures on Russian culture, notes that interest in Tchaikovsky’s music is growing, and once misconceptions are challenged, Americans begin asking more questions.

🔥🇳🇬 What was behind US strikes on ISIS in Nigeria?

🔶 The world will soon see that Washington’s aim is to control the region’s hidden resource bases, Nigerian political analyst Abubakar Sadeeque Abba tells Sputnik after US strikes on militants linked to the ISIS* in north-western Nigeria.

💬 “That is the intention, pure and clear," Abba argues, adding that only time will tell “when America will be humbled out of western Nigeria, just like they left Afghanistan and Vietnam.”

🔶 He urged traditional, religious and elite institutions in Nigeria to “rise up and firmly tell the US that enough was enough.”

🔶 But Nigerian expert Sonnie Ekwowusi says the US strikes were a response to the terrorist threat faced by Nigeria.

💬 “I am in the south, this is happening in the north, but we are even afraid that the forests in the south are being occupied by these people,” Ekwowusi points out. “And very soon, they will be coming out of those forests and attacking us.”

🔶 Trump posted on social media that the US had launched a “powerful and deadly strike” against what he called ISIS targets in north-west Nigeria.

🇷🇺💪 Russia prevails over Ukraine in war of drones – Russian UAV operator

💬 “We sometimes collect trophies [captured drones] and then launch them toward Ukrainian positions. As the saying goes, ‘He who comes to us with a sword, shall perish by the sword.’ In any case, we're looking at what they're flying and how their drones are controlled,” a Russian drone operator from the Akhmat regiment told Sputnik.

👉 He was echoed by a commander who praised Russian drone operators for their skill, which recently helped them destroy eight pieces of enemy military hardware, including an Akatsiya 2S3 self-propelled gun.

💬 “A war of drones is under way: Drones against drones, drones against personnel and drones against equipment,” another Russian UAV operator said, adding that the unconventional thinking of Russian soldiers has always helped them win wars.
