When pressed on whether the US could rule out the use of military force, Miller did not rule it out, arguing instead that “nobody’s going to fight the United States militarily over the future of Greenland.”

Denmark has repeatedly rejected US claims over Greenland, a self-governing territory within the Kingdom of Denmark, and has warned that any attempt to seize it by force would violate international law and undermine NATO unity.

The expert added that US policy is closely aligned with the oil industry and military-industrial complex, while the UN Security Council has lost real influence since 2003 due to US veto power.

Sariwi noted that the US does not seek a full-scale war, especially given the lack of military parity, but aims to secure strategic control—with global attention now also turning toward Iranian oil reserves.
